(Looking for one female to join me in a romantic tale. PM me if interested)
San Antonio, Texas
Tate Rutledge broke most traffic rules as his porsche raced the busy street. He felt the pulse in his throat and his heart was beating furiously. Thank god for that at least. When he heard the news of the plane crash he had almost suffered an heart attack. Flight 398 had only been in the air for thirty seconds before plunging down to the ground again. There hadn't been many survivors he had been told but his wife and eight year old daughter had been among them. His father said on the phone he didn't know how severe damages they had suffered. His daughter Mandy had a broken arm but was being checked for internal damage. Caroline was in worse shape. How bad he had no idea of yet.
The brakes shrieked as he stopped outside the hospital. He opened the car door and heaved himself out of it and ran to the double doors of the large building without locking his car. In almost a frenzied state he arrived at the Emergency room. He grabbed the nearest person in a white coat.
"Carole and Mandy Rutledge?" His voice was panicked and the young doctor saw his haunted eyes.
"Mr Rutledge." Dr Ted Brimsley nodded to the obviously shaken man. "This way sir." He beckoned Tate to follow him. He led Tate to a secluded area.
"Your wife will survive. She suffered from burns on her face and body but they aren't very deep. Our plastic surgeons think they can fix her up." The doctor give Tate a sympathetic look. "There are no guarantee it will be a complete success though but we are mildly optimistic."
Tate took in the information before speaking. "What about my daughter?"
The doctor smile. "She will be fine. One broken arm and no other injuries except from a burn wound on her leg. She are asleep now."
"Can i see her?" Tate asked as he took a breath of relief.
"Sure, right this way."
