Minor Server Problem Early AM

Someone on the General Board was just saying that we needed to make a new announcement - well here it is!

One of the servers bombed this morning and it caused all of the other machines to fail with it. We are still trying to figure out exactly what went wrong. Sorry for the 30 minutes of downtime, I assure you it would have been much longer if not for the help of a very smart and helpful person who also happened to be awake at 4am PST.

Minor service problem my ass, the fucking thing exploded on me.

But thanks for getting it back up within an hour and a half

Manu... if laurel is tweety does that make you sylvester or the old granny?

I think the server ate a PM that was sent to me... unless that was part of the crash.

I went to open this PM in a new window... no idea who it was from and thats when the server toasted itself. And since it said there was one there before the crash and it aint now I'm assuming it was eaten.

We are still missing one server. It won't come back. We're trying to convince it. That shouldn't have caused your PM problem. I will certainly try to see if there's a database problem because of the crash. Again, I don't think so, but I can check once I get that other server back online. Where, oh where, has my #2 server gone?
