There are a handful of Minneapolis residents posting to the GB. Tensions are high, and there are more protests scheduled for today/tonight, including one at 5PM (local time) outside the government plaza downtown. Plans to join, or stay in and out of the action?

Sure. The fat-asses on this board struggle to get to the fridge.

How would they get to a fucking protest?

Have actually seen what your Trump rally brethren look like??

More fat-asses. Plenty of fat-asses across the political spectrum.

At least the looters are moving around a bit. They're in decent shape. Not sitting at a keyboard saving the world.

Derek Chauvin, the Minneapolis police officer caught on camera kneeling on the neck of George Floyd as he gasped for air, has been the subject of a 10 conduct complaints and three police shootings that led to no disciplinary action during his 19 years on the job.

Tou Thao, the second officer seen in the video, also has a checkered past that includes allegations of police brutality and a lawsuit.

Together, the men have more than a dozen complaints that have never resulted in any formal reprimands.

Gee, I thought it was President Trump's fault?

Apparently the city of Minneapolis has some 'splainin' to do.

Meanwhile, thousands of other law enforcement professionals across the US did a great job again today.

Wow, the Minneapolis police chief is clearly a white supremacist.

And it's probably safe to say that Tou Thao will be "White" by the end of the week....

That guy would get destroyed in 97.675% of his fights.

Delux is right on this one.....body builders are terrible fighters. They are for looks, not function.

Look at some of the biggest monsters in UFC, they look nothing like body builders.

Brock Lesner is a fucking freak show and he's not even close.

Most are far less muscular....

Meh...

I don't live there, but there are similar events, more legitimately labelled as 'protests', going on here.

If I was in Minneapolis, I would never join in - I have all the appliances I need - so no need to 'protest' by looting a store.

What started out as protests has turned into looting and setting buildings on fire. It's no longer a protest but now has become a riot.

I've been doing some thinking on this and I really don't see how any of it helps the Vikings next season.

Apparently there are reports that the guy who initiated the riot was recognised as an undercover cop. Wouldn't surprise me.
