Out of curiosity I was wondering if anyone wanted to do a mini goal list.
I know right at this present time I don't have either the balls (figuritively speaking of course, or the time this month to Nano...

My mans arriving from England mid month and we are meeting for the first time face to face. I don't think writing will be on my mind if you know what I mean? ;)

House is a mess from top to bottom etc etc...

I have never written 5000 words let alone 50,000

However if we have mini goals and a place to voice them and receive support and encouragement I thought it could be helpful...

I also want to have the writing confidence for Nano one day and thought voicing mini goals would be a good way to build up to it ;)

For me I have 2 personal goals.

1. Finish a complete story whether short medium or long lol by Christmas (any in progress story would be fine)
2. 10,000 words for the month of November

I thought this might be a good ongoing thread...
I know personally saying what I want to do and being supported by like minded people helps to keep me motivated.

If I am duplicating a thread I apologise as I have not seen one like this

Hugs To All and I hope you join me in stating little more manageable goals :)

I just wanted to add that I hope this can be an encouraging place for everyone and that we should also update on how we are doing etc. hugs

Well, seven more stories/chapters and I could push out two more eXcessica books. But the editing burder has been so heavy, I haven't been getting around to writing for myself--and I have all seven mapped out in my mind. Happily my mainstream novel for next year is already in proofs--and the one for the year after that is in editing.

I can do one story/chapter a day when I'm on a roll.

So, my mini writing goals are Bitten Peach finished at the end of next week, and the expansion of Blue Roses Tattoo finished at the end of the week after that.

I have three novels in progress. A revised version of Feral and a related story I'm tentatively titling On The Border of Good and Evil (both under Gabriel Daemon), as well as a new series called Beyond The Veil.

My mini-goals are to get a chapter done for each of them each month.

One hour a day at least devoted to writing.
The hour after the kids go to bed and before I am too shattered to think coherent thoughts.:D

I am not feeling very inspired so I am going to start towards my goal with the first story I wrote. It needs a lot of tweaking and a bit more of a story...
It's at 1,209 words so I am recording that here so I can update any additions I manage to make :) and keep up to date with my word count

Today I have written 420 words to go at the beginning of my story.:D I know that doesn't seem like many, but to me it's a minor miracle. I think I'd forgotten that I really do like to write...
On the upside I worked out to reach my 10k goal I need to write 333 words a day, so if I can keep on at this rate I will have a buffer for while I am away.:)

Let's see...

I've got three eXcessica edits to get through... anywhere from 20k-50k each...

I have three submissions waiting for approval, which if accepted, means doing covers and formatting and editing and updating the site for those...

I'm about 3/4 of the way through formatting our mss' for print publication... then I have to do the full covers...

I have to enter all our books into Google Book Search...

In negotiations with two other possible distributors for our work...

I just finished judging ten books for the Eppies... (glad that one's on the "done" list)

As for my own writing, I have about four chapters each to write for "Unfolding" and "Falling Down" and "Mother Goose"... About six for "Heidi and the Kaiser"... the rest of "A Baumgartner Reunion"... and I have to totally revamp "Stargazing" and "Truth or Dare..."

And that's all before I start on anything new...

Oh, but before I do that, I have to finish "The Heart of Hephaestus" for Phaze...

Have NO idea when I'm going to find the time...

Finish Merchant Princess this weekend. Get the next chapter of Sisters of the Mists out by the middle of the month. My goals have to be small and long-distance at this point, with the minimal time I have.

My writing goals are simple....one chapter a month and finish both of my on going stories before the end of the year.

My second story has 53,440 words so far but I've been working on it since March. My third story has 14,611 words...I've been writing this one since the first of October.

But I am such a procrastinator that I would never finish a set number of words in a time limit. I write when the mood comes to me otherwise I just stare at the paper and doodle.

So my main goal is to learn discipline and start writing everyday.

Done! 22,000 words for the first installment of Beyond The Veil.

Now, on to dissect and reinvent Feral . . . .

Grrr. I hate you all!

I think I need to schedule my time better... or something. Can we work daylight savings time to add two more hours to every day?? That would help!
