Yeah, I have in the past, but mostly up in my forehead area.. around the temples.

Yeah... and my ear and around my eye... it's totally weird...

Yep. It happens. Also coldness in the extremities--cold fingers and toes.

Don't fear, you're not having a stroke. Try to drink something caffinated if you can--and if your stomach can take it, have a little protein, like tuna fish or turkey.

:( My profound sympathies. Hang in there!

Nopes. My migraines are symmetric. But yeah, I've heard others who've had that happen.

Hey! I got the cold fingers/toes thing earlier... whoa...

actually, so far (knock on wood) no pain... just the nausea and light sensitivity and numbness.......

I have been plagued with migraines off and on for more than 30 years....

fortunately for me Imetrex has worked wonders...

But going back to your question...

yes, I have experienced paralyzing effects on the left side of my face and neck...

not you freak you out....but my best friend from college had similar headaches but the way she describided to me was very troublesome....

she had several tests that were inconclusive....

unfortunately, she past away from from a severe anuerism...

PLEASE ask for both a ct scan and an MRI (with and without contrasting dye)...

See, NOW you're freaking me out!

I'm a hypochondriac of the worst variety... so when I actually started getting something REAL (i.e. migraines that started in my 30's!) it was totally bizarre...

Obviously, it's always best to get such things checked out. But Migraines are common, your symptoms are common, and in women migraines are very common and most often related to a hormonal change (though, obviously, there are other possible causes).

And women in their 30's do go through a hormonal change--the hit their sexual peak--yeah, the one guys get in their teens ;)

I wouldn't be surprised, however, if you did get headaches you don't quite remember when your were a child or teen. Mild migraines as compared to these mature ones.

Yeah, it's totally cyclical... I can tell... 2x a month, ovulation and menstruation...

I might have had them as a teen, but honestly, don't remember headaches like these EVER... you don't forget this kinda pain! :x

My sister developed them in her 30's, too... which makes me think it's just kinda the way we work? Although the docs say it's unusual to get them starting so late in life... *shrug*
