Christ, isn't he retired yet? What is he, 58 years old?
BTW, watch out for the Cubs this year. They finally have a bullpen. LOL, been saying watch out for the Cubs forever but this year I mean it. If they suck again I will start to worship at the White Sox alter, grrrrrrr.
Cone had a nasty array during his prime...too bad that was a decade ago. I'm still waiting for the pitcher that wears one shoe and throws 180 mph (Sid Finch) to develop.
He may not have the stuff of his youth...but then again...he pitiched a perfect game only 4 years ago.
He's battling for the 5th starters spot, but i doubt he'll make that...maybe a long reliever. It'll be good for the young guys who are gonna battle him for that spot. He is a class act who loves the game..
And a minor league contract is a pittance....IF he makes the team....most likely he will make the minimum...not a bad deal.
