Two years after Samus Aran destroyed an entire space station to prevent a cataclysmic mistake from unleashing a parasitic organism on the galaxy, she has regained her body, cloning the parts and having them restored by nanosurgery. She now continues her hunting, keeping the Space Pirates at bay. She was on a routine mission when she crashed on a planet covered mostly in arid, desert regions. Her ship crashed next to an older ship, one that a young man was in the middle of repairing. As she climbed out of the wreckage of her ship (her fifth one), she saw the ship, and her armor's scanners told her only that it was old, and that there was a single lifesign aboard. She set about exploring, and eventually found a young man working on the engines.

OOC: looking for one woman to play Samus

bumped again (come on, you know you want to play the blonde, busty heroine)

Well... some sort of thing like you linked me to in the MKR thread I was assuming. Is this another one of the "shows" that I've no idea about? I mean I can see the plot here, but still know nothing of the character herself or how to play her. KWIM?

Thanks! forgot about this thread. LOL Looking now! (Wondering if the games are something I can do or not. on the computer, and the fact of my dialup and virus issues... I'll just have to see!)

OOC: if you have messenger, i could send you them one by one << i have all of them except the Prime series on my computer

But thta's it - I DONT have messenger - again the virus problem and the dialup combination.... I miss my yahoo, too. :( I try to DL it and it says it will take over an hour, and I always get booted before it finishes. ALWAYS.

I'm reading this -seems this RP won't really have anything to do with any of that? It's not really characterizing her like the other one did, so I guess I could play her with any personality i wanted? She's familiar with men though I assume, and it's also probably been a while. And shear nature of a fighter she's probably more aggressive, but as a woman probably shrinks a bit in bed once she trusts her lover? Sound good? LMK your thread. and we can always do something else if you'd like to find someone for this one who knows what they're doing. LOL

LMK. via PM if ya want. I dont care. :D

Quietly exploring and navigating the tunnels and pathways of the older ship, she discovered the life form. It was a man, and he seemed to be trying to repair the ship. She watched for a moment from inside of her suit, and determined that he was probably of no threat. She removed her helmet and called to him. "You - man, there. Who are you, and what planet is this? I've crashed here just as you have, though my ship may be in better shape from the looks of it." Cautiously she kept her arm cannon ready. "Are you safe?"

At the sound of a woman's voice, the young man started. His head hit the top of the compartment he was in with the engines, eliciting an oath of the kind that hadn't been in centuries. He slowly crawled back out, holding a hand to his head. He wasn't bleeding, fortunately, but he'd have a nasty bruise there in the morning. He got up, and looked at the woman looking at him. A bounty hunter, judging from the way she carried herself, he thought. He stretched, and grabbed a bottle of water, taking a sip from it. He shook his head slowly. "This isn't my ship, I'm just repairing it. Mine's in the hangar deck. I found this one about a year ago, and I've been busy repairing systems. I used my ship's manufactories to replace enough components to be able to use this one's auto repair functions, which help it along. This one's old. Real old. I'm thinking it will make a fine home for me when it's in orbit. This planet is called Sura, and I'm Draken Fury."

"Hello Draken, I am Samus. Maybe you then can help me repair my own ship; at least it will be faster with two of us working. Is the planet colonized, or is it only you?" Feeling confident now that this man was friendly, Samus disengaged the arm cannon and began removing some of her heavy armor. At over 6 feet tall, she herself weighed only 135 pounds - the armor weighed a little more than 60 by itself.
"Let me put my armors away and show you what needs work on my ship, and we can work a payment arrangement." Leading the way, she waited to hear about this planet itself and what Draken was doing there... exactly.

Draken raised an eyebrow, then followed her slowly. He had never seen an armor like that, at least, not on a human. It reminded him of the stories he had heard of the Chozo, a birdlike humanoid race from ancient times. He shrugged, and saw her ship. He surveyed the damage, and shook his head. From a distance, it looked pretty bad, and that could only mean that the closer they got, the worse it would look. As they approached, he could see he was right. It looked like the ship had sustained heavy damage on reentry. He sighed, and examined the ship closely. "Well, I can't repair it, but once I get the big ship up and running, she might be able to."

Nodding, pretty sure she understood, Samus repeated what she though she'd heard. "Your ship has a self-healing ability of sorts, and once you get your own fixed than maybe your ship can fix mine? Sounds like a plan.... How long are we talking? I'm on a hunting mission and would hate to be delayed for too horribly long. But hey, things happen I guess. Dammit." She cursed and kicked the ground. She hadn't really seen the urgency of her mission, but her employers had been quite pushy about the time table. She'd have to contact them and let them know what she could... assuming the communication device worked here.
"Can a girl get something to eat around here? If we'll be here a while, I could use a bit of recharging." Completely devoid of her armor now, Samus shook out her long blonde hair, subconsciously pressing her breasts into the air as she did.

Draken nodded. "First off, we should get your ship out of the open. This planet has a lot of sandstorms. It looks like it should be able to hover close to the ground. Bring it over to the docking bay, see that big door in the lower half of the front of the big ship? That will keep it covered up. The big ship is a fighter factory, but it should be able to handle a gunship." He started walking back towards the ship, planning on making as many repairs as he could.

Samus nodded and boarded her vessel. She fired it up, after a couple of tries, and headed towards the larger ship's door that Draken had motioned toward previously. She grabbed a cereal bar-type snack and finished it as she plopped her own ship down in the proper place, then shut it down and trashed her leftovers as she descended from her vessel.
Dusting her hands off and looking around for Draken, remembering what he'd said about the sandstorms, she made a mental note to get a shower in as soon as she could. She began to walk around, wondering where the man who'd met her would be now, and who might repair her ship.

"Can't a girl even find a restroom around here?" She murmered to herself, not seeing anyone around and still no sign of Draken. "Where'd he go, anyway?" She wondered aloud, hands on both hips, looking back and forth as she stood in the opening of the mouth of the larger repairing ship.

Draken had been busy gathering supplies to attempt to fix her ship. He knew he would have to get the fighter-manufactories working in order to complete full repairs, but he might be able to work on the engines. Of course, never having seen a ship like hers, he'd have a bit of trouble. Then he realized she didn't know how to close the hangar bay. He ran into the hangar bay, just in time to see the wall of sand on the horizon. He sprinted towards a control panel, and pressed a few buttons. Seconds later, the huge doors in the outer portion of the ship ground closed.

"That was almost a catastrophe."

Samus had seen the wall of sand coming, and was extremely relieved to see Draken run into the hangar just in time to pound the controls and slam the door shut quickly. Her heart pounding a bit, she acknowledged his timing. "Yeah, almost, you're quick! Gives a whole new meaning to that shower I was telling myself to take soon." Her eyes wide, she stared at the closed door for a moment before making her way over to Draken.

"Got some tools now? Anything I can do to help? I do some of my own repairs, though honestly I usually just find a shop that can help me out a bit with stuff like this. Or maybe we should wait out the sandstorm so as not to get tiny particles of sand in the workings?" She shrugged, embarrassed that a spacer like herself really didnt' know much about the technicalities of the ship, just enough to get by long enough to find someone who did. Seems she had found someone.
She looked him over, taking in his appearance (???) and smiling a bit, unconsciously admiring his physique. A man with tools - there was nothing sexier and she was out of things to say and do.

OOC: nothing sexier than a man with tools? :p lol

IC: Draken nodded, running a hand through his black hair, and stretching. He set down his tools, then looked at her. She was an odd one, to be sure. He had heard rumours, of course, of a human raised among the Chozo. He wondered briefly if this was her. He smiled, then walked over to her ship to take a closer look at the damage. "I don't know how much I can do, but I might be able to repair basic systems until I can get the manufactories up and running. Your ship's autorepair functions were knocked out. What manufacturer made this gunship?"

Samus stammered... manufacturer? She hadn't a clue. "Well, it was made on the only home I ever knew, but it no longer exists. I was raised by the Chozo...." Her voice trailed off, partly in rememberance for the only parents she'd known, and partly in worry that she was revealing too much about herself to this man, still a stranger on a strange planet.
"And yeah, I figured out that the auto-repair was out." Kicking the dirt on the floor, Samus continued. "Glad I found you to help me out a bit, and that I was near enough a planet to get here before the system shut itself down like it did." Looking up with slightly-shy eyes, still wondering what this planet was all about and who this guy was, she eyed him again. Tools in hand or not, this man knew what he was doing, knew his trade, and any man with confidence-not-cockiness was attractive. Hell, this long since she'd been with anyone, any man at all was attractive, but Draken seemed to fit her bill to the tee. ;)

(And.... yep. :D And, dinner time be back in an hour or so!)

Draken thought for a moment. He had some information on Chozo artifacts, but knew only a few things from that information. If this ship was truly built by the Chozo, he'd have to find some kind of designs in order to understand it. Either that or take it apart. Somehow he didn't think she'd like that. He leaned against the ship, thinking, before noticing her staring at him. "What? Something on my face?"
