Come on, there must be more of you out there. I see threads dedicated to all kinds of music but none that you can bang your head to? Thor and Odin do not approve!

So what are you currently/planning on rocking out to?

Currently I'm listening to lots of Iron Maiden and Pantera to prepare and hype myself up for a rehearsal down Denmark street.

Playlist is currently: Iron Maiden - Evil That Men Do, followed by Pantera - Becoming.

Can I play with madness! Iron Maiden

The Trooper. Iron Maiden

The Time. Anthrax

The Iron-man movies got me into AC/DC and Black Sabbyth
Since then I've also discovered the talents of Metallica and Rush and Guns'n'Roses.

I'm finding it difficult getting into the current music though. I suppose I'm just a man out of time.

I listen to a lot of music, but Metal is what I listen to the most.

\o/

I enjoy listening to:
Korn
Rammstein
System of a down
Muse
Metallica
Smashing Pumpkins
Limp Bizkit

And many more ;)

at the moment:

Sinister
Suffocation
Cryptopsy
Autopsy
Skeletonwitch
Repulsion

these are my favorite bands at the moment.

Nothing wrong with that dude. I'd take older metal over any of the more recent bands anyday.

Concerning metal, I grew up on Black Sabbath, Metallica and Motorhead.

Only two of these bands are even close to metal (Metallica and Rammstein).

Well for the sake of it, throw alternative/industrial/nu-metal into the bunch. Balls, I'll throw in some rock.

Currently got on TNT - AC/DC, and sinch someone mentioned Rammstein I've decided to add Ich Will to my playlist. On a sidenote, anyone play any instruments?

System used to be much more metal. Listen to their first album if ya disagree Ahren, there are a few gems on the disc.

My Bands:

Six Feet Under
Napalm Death
Static X ("Wisconsin Death Trip" album)
Soulfly
Sepultura
Chimera
Children of Bodom
Slipknot ("Slipknot" album)
Hate Eternal
Texas In July
Job For A Cowboy
Black Dahlia Murder
Society 1
Slaves On Dope

i suck so bad at getting into new stuff since motherhood, but the yearly mayhem festival has been a blesssing!!!! Rob Zombie, Lamb of God, and Korn headlining? thanks so much!!hatebreed, atreyu, and others on the second stages? I'm in!

luckily in nj there is a college radio station that plays AMAZING metal, hardcore, and all of the crap in between. I get to hear the haunted, korn, everytime i die, pig destroyer, iron maiden, killswitch, misfits, metallica....its the only way i have any idea whats going on.

Metal? I love metal, stuff like Dethklok, Rammstein, Fintroll, all awesome. Though lately I've been listening to a lot of a band called Tyr, not quite as heavy as I'm used to, but really quite good reguardless.

Alright, you got me! I listen to (in alphabetical order :p) :

The Agonist
All That Remains
As I Lay Dying
Bullet For My Valentine
Deathstars
Dethklok
Disturbed

I love Hard Rock + Hard Cock!

I'm more of a "folk metal" guy - that'd be the metal with traditional music roots, the really good Norse stuff (Falkenbach, for example, or Bathory when they get into the Nordland albums) and the really good Slav stuff (Arkona, Alkonost). I really must recommend Eluveite, as Apollion listed above. Brilliant Gaullic and Celtic stuff; Cruachan does a great "Gael metal."

Opeth has a fantastic amount of skill. Bolt Thrower's "Anti-Tank" (alt title: "Dead Armour") is superb, but I can't seem to get into the rest of their tracks.
