I've met a couple of people that I met on the net. None here from Lit.

I met a guy who I got to known at lit last week. He is really cool and very nice.

I met many people who I met at the chatroom I ususally go to - but only 1 from Lit so far.

never met anyone from lit in real life, although it's my understanding that there are atleast 2 or 3 from my town that come to the board. I met my boyfriend on the internet. We were friends for more than a year before we even started dating though. We have been together (in person) for 5 years now.

I've met hundreds of people from online (no, I didn't sleep with them all).

I used to work for AOL, and went to a bunch of conventions and stuff, was on panels and the like. People who knew of my work would introduce themselves to me, and I made lots of real time friends from online friends.

Now, I've met lots (not hundreds) of people from Lit. Some for the purpose of dating, and some just to hang out with. I've only had a couple of bad experiences, but the rest were nice, fun people. I love meeting new friends.

That curious about ME? I don't think so. I will say, "Yes, it happens." I don't recall ever having beer(s) as a result, but it's worked out very pleasantly for me umm.... at least once.

I've met 5 people from Lit in RL.

DRxBlue, who turned out to be every bit as Wonderful in RL as he was online.
He's one of those people I connected with immediately and expect to love always.

Alexandraaah, who is even sexier in real life than her incredibly sexy avs and posts would indicate. Yes, it's true. She's incredible.

CoolidgEffect, who is such a completely sexy and good natured guy.

Kotori, who is quirky and fun, and very good-natured about being bossed around by me.

And Jim_Henson, who is just the cutest little thing you ever did see.

There are other people from Lit I'd like to meet in person, but that's for the next road-trip.

Never met anyone from Lit though. And there are quite a few of you I want to meet!

Met and married. When you live in a small town - which I did back then - it was one of the few available ways to meet educated, intelligent people who valued more than Friday night football games and do-as-I-say and don't think too much Sunday mornings.

If you had asked me this a year ago, I'd have probably said "no way." But in the last month, I've met two people from Lit in person and both meetings went very well- I had lots of fun! Both people were the same people in RL as they are here in their posts. (Hear that, DCL?) I have plans to meet two more people from Lit in the near future, too.

While I'm still paranoid to have my face on this board, I'm becoming less afraid of the phone and of personal meetings. That is actually a milestone for me.

One of my former Friends With Benefits was met through the Net, not of Lit.

I've met only a few people that live in Alberta that I've met on the net. No one from Lit.. yet!

So far, I've only met one person from Lit (and before y'all start looking at my post count and talking bad about me *grins*... I've been at Lit for a year and a half, I'm just new to the boards).

My meeting was with a friend I'd known here for seven or eight months. We started off as just friends, and progressed to more. The meeting was our first real date -- and our last. We had a great weekend, but the chemistry just really wasn't there. And you can exchange pictures and talk on the phone, and all of that, but I think until you're actually in the same room with a person, you may not really know about the chemistry. (Either that, or we just weren't being honest with ourselves about what we were feeling beforehand...for both of us, it was our first date after separating from long marriages, and I think we both wanted love and companionship a lot more than we wanted each other.)

Would I meet someone else from here? Yes. As friends, I would have no qualms about meeting someone I consider a friend online (especially if it's at an NHL arena!). Would I meet someone romantically from here again? Hmmm...I think I would. But I would do some things differently next time....

Met two people so far, one I met in Lit chat and he was even greater in person than he was online. Spent two weeks with him in Utah, and can't wait to go back
