Messages keep freezing

Everytime I write someone back on DMs it keeps freezing half way and it locks up and it either erasers what I have put or puts it half way and it’s doing it on there end as well.

Has anybody else had this problem?

I just created a new thread similar to this one, not having seen this one. I've tried for two days to start a conversation only to have it fail to post at all. I get the message 'a problem has occurred.'

Refreshing the tab/window works for me to get past the problem.

Refreshing the tab/window works for me to get past the problem.

Specifically for the “a problem has occurred” error: Before refreshing, if you typed a lot (or a little), it’s worth your while to highlight and copy all the text you typed, because some of the time, your text after the refresh won’t always be exactly what was there before. Saving in advance in your clipboard helps.
