THE WIFE

Shopping for the kids is done, the adults say what they want nothing, so I'm tempted to give it to them, lol!

We have to have an artificial tree. :( Hubby has asthma and the pine aggravates it. It's going up this weekend so we can get it through to Grendle, our kitten, that it is not for him before we decorate it.

My problem is my oldest turns nine in two weeks and I have a birthday party to plan. My nephew was born Christmas day, so I have to get him a birthday present too.

Ewwwwwwwwwwwww

SHOPPINGGGGGG..omg...i hate to shop, and i haven't even started yet..grrrrrrrrrr

Maybe i'll just give money this year, yeah thats the answer...lol

Teehee isn't that normal and yes to all I feel a lot better all for the headace( oh that is the husband) But I'm Puttin the tree up and decrating so I be in the christmas spirt so far

I don't like to rush it!

I do all my shopping in the last 10 days or so days before Christmas. Truth is, I never know what to get anyone. I so wish I could pick cool, original gifts, but nope, boring stuff from me.

My mom and I will probably put up the tree Dec. 9. It just doesn't seem as special when it's up for two whole months.

With the exception of 2 or 3 small things, I am
done with my Christmas shopping. I know what the
people I have to buy for like. And if/when in doubt,
I ask them what they want/need.

As for the Christmas tree aspect... I have to have a
real tree. A fake one simply doesn't have the same
piney smell <and I don't care what anyone says about
the stuff you can buy in a can that will duplicate the
smell! It is NOT the same thing!!> Therefore, my tree generally goes up
2 weeks before Christmas and comes down on New Year's
Day.

 For the first time in years I have not even started my Christmas shopping. I usually have it done by Thanksgiving, but this year....I haven't even got a shopping list started.

Almost done...braving the elements tomorrow to shop for my sister's step children that I don't even know, probably get something for my dad, but that's about it. It's going to be a sparse Christmas for me this year. Usually I go all out, but money is tighter than it has been in the past. Amazing how after you find a job, money is tighter than when you didn't have one...*shrugs*...oh well...hopefully, the deferrment goes through on my student loan.

Yeppers,,, I have so been a good boy,,,

I am nearly finished as well. One more evening this coming week will finish the folks that I have missed in the year round shopping spurts.

Then there are stocking stuffers and sweet treat surprises that I just don't do until the week before Christmas.

GAWD I love this time of year! I'm like a kid once again this year,,, the decorations are going up tomorrow on the house,,, the anticipation of seeing the kids on Christmas morning is starting to build.

I love it.

I do not like shopping especially at this time of year so I tend to purchase things from the school kids to help their classes. I have already purchased tee shirts and some small trinkets for my grandchildren. My kids are older (in their twenties) so I get them gift certificates from various stores and let them choose their own gifts. The hardest person I have to shop for is my mother, who has everything! I usually end up purchasing her books and gift certificates also. As my two year old grandson is currently residing in my home, I have no clue when my tree will go up (it's fake also) as I can't remember if youngsters like to pull things off the tree, I would hate for him to pull the thing over on him. So I will probably wait to put the tree up.

I have most of my shopping done, just a few things for my sweetie & my mom left. I started early this year, since I wasn't sure if I would be up to it once the holidays actually started. I have the day off tomorrow & will finish then. No tree for me again this year, I packed everything thinking I would be moved, but haven't found a place yet.

Shopping Yuck haven't even started yet! I know what I am getting the kids, but haven't started yet. Will probably do that next weekend and I hate going to the damn malls. Oh well I am glad all of you got done.
