Merry Christmas/Happy Hanukka

Merry Everything to everyone :kiss::rose::rose::rose::rose:

poets are special creatures
torn between light and shadow
nerve endings more attuned to a world that
others stride through with barely a second glance
but the ones who play catch-cradle with words
tremble in its ripples
fear and joy a heady mix
and other worlds crowding
beyond the mirror, mist, or bubble

enjoy the vibrations, poeteers! :cattail:

hmmn... cat's cradle? oh well

Annie you always pick the best cards! xx

Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Bountiful Kwanzaa, Fabulous Festivus--whatever you celebrate I hope you are having a great day you mad, beautiful poets. I love you all!

Here's a holiday ghazal I reworked.

Christmas Ghazal

Come the holidays we get hung on the holly time
green between red tinsel we nog us a holly time

Build a snowman doot doot rolled in the merry cold
carrot for a nose and no coal bro just a jolly time

Rbbons wrapping up the pleasantly pleasant warm
cocoa and marshmallow peppermint tins folly time

Trapped in the stores or parking wars Black Friday
smackdowns off-the-rack towns such a hollow time

Christmas of my youth a Hanukkah bush Chinese
and a Milk Dud matinee my holy hallowed time

And dreams, dreams passing in-betweens sugar
plums luminous scenes lacy snow and, golly, time.
