Here's a topic that adds a new aspect to the 'shaved' vs. 'natural' look. 'Merkins' (or pubic wigs) are back. They've been around since the 14th or 15th century when randy noblemen and women used them to cover up evidence of syphilis and other STDs. They've reappeared from time to time in history -- I think they made a resurgence in the 70's. Now it seems there are salons in London, NYC and LA the specialize in offering 'merkins' in a variety of shapes and colors. Male and female versions and you can have them styled however you want.

Another name for these pubic adornments is a 'bowser' and all the time I thought Bowser was a dog!

What a novelty item .... ok Greg ... you teased ... I have never heard of them let alone seen them ... where and how much...

I have a son who is losing his hair on his head... (top head)... this would be great to give to his wife and say, "if he is losing it on top ... this is for the stuff he is losing down below." hehehe

In the 1970's German fashion designer Rudi Gernreich who is most famous for his introduction of the topless bathing suit also introduced something called the 'pubikini' which was made of, --- you guessed it. The Rudi Gernreich Book published in the early 90's (Rizzoli was the publisher, I believe) and written by one of Gernreich's models, a lady named Annie Moffat (Little Miss Muff-it) has an illustration and full description. The pubes were dyed bright green

Currently, a beauty salon owner in London calling himself "Muff Daddy" is single handedly trying to bring about a 'merkin' revival at his full service "pubic salon" where he cuts, shapes, and dyes pubes. You can also get merkins (male or female model) in any color or trim you desire. (Scouts honor).

I suppose you're right gary1, it would be a perfect Christmas or Valentine's Day gift for anyone who shaves or who is losing it down there. Just think about it, the owner could decide (depending on the occasion) whether he/she wanted to be with or sans his/her 'pube toupe'. Gotta dress right for the occasion.
