Merge Two Stories

So, I have three stories that have two version posted. So there's "The Coin" and The Coin v2" with 'v' meaning version rather than volume. Same with "Jenny" and "Jenny v2". And then there's a story I posted that, after a ton of requests, I decided to turn into a chapter series so there's "Sacrifice" and "Sacrifice Ch. 01". How can I get those merged so there's just "The Coin" and "Sacrifice Ch. 01" without losing comments and such?

Apparently, you can't. Comments and votes are attached to a specific submission. If you merge v2 into v1 and delete v2, all v2's attachments go away. That's my understanding anyway. You might PM a mod to be sure.
