Mentally ill GOP Senator says "Russian trolls" behind NFL anthem controversy

Has the entire US Congress lost its frigggin mind? Both parties are run by complete morons. Russian "troll farms"? What the f**k???

WASHINGTON (AP) — Russian internet trolls are exploiting the controversy over NFL players kneeling during the national anthem to stir up divisions in the United States, a Republican on the Senate intelligence committee said Wednesday.
Sen. James Lankford of Oklahoma said paid social media users, or "trolls," were hashtagging "take a knee" and "boycott NFL" to amplify the issue.


"They were taking both sides of the argument this past weekend, and pushing them out from their troll farms as much as they could to try to just raise the noise level in America and to make a big issue seem like an even bigger issue," Lankford said at a hearing of the Senate Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee

If Lankford was the only person making this allegation, it would be one thing. But read your own link. Facebook has already admitted to numerous phony accounts probably traceable to Russian hacks.

It's called propaganda. Nation states have been doing it throughout history. The Nazis did it. Russia has done it forever. The United States is every bit their match. Ever hear of the USIA? Voice of America?

These efforts are only going to increase because social media has now made it virtually effortless and people like you will believe (or disbelieve) anything. Not to mention the fact that the mainstream media is almost starving to disseminate the sketchiest of rumors any "source" tosses to it.

I hope you include Fox News, Alex Jones, Redstate, Sean Hannity, Donald Trump, Roy Moore, etc., in the term "mainstream media"
 
Normally, the liberal media and comedians would be all over a GOP Senator saying such bizarre, idiotic things. In this case, silence. Amazing.

I posted hundreds of pro-Russia messages on Facebook over the past few years, because I support better relations between our countries.

I'm not a troll on a Russian farm. Where is this farm where they grow these trolls? Is it next to the Emoji factory or the bot grove?

I know members of Trump's team admitted to attempting to collude with the russian government, but haven't seen anything about them and the easter bunny.

So you have evidence that people on Trump's team made a concerted effort to collude with the easter bunny?
 
Easter Bunny is a Russian hoax. C'mon -- did you ever hear about Easter bunnies before Russia was founded by Ivan the Terrible? Nope. Russian alchemists frankensteined Easter bunnies to provide radiantly glowing fur for the robes of Orhtodox priests and patriarchs. But Ivan also sent agents to Xian Europe to infiltrate bunny-worship into rituals, thus weakening Western moral standards. Stalin, Gorby, and Putin have built on that. Beware.

Alex Jones hasn't yet picked up on this. What a slug.
