Never ones to let potential political benefit from a major news story go to waste, a number of feminist commentators have written the that Cleveland kidnappings were part of a "generalized pattern of male violence against women."
One particularly outrageous article claimed the horrible enslavement of the three victims is actually a "crime against all women." Really? All 3.5 billion women on Earth were enslaved in Castro's house? I wouldn't think that would even be physically possible from a spacial perspective.
So, what do these incessant "gender warriors" have to say when a man kidnaps and sexually enslaves another man? Did Jeffrey Dahmer or John Wayne Gacy commit their crimes because they "hated men"? What about lesbians who kidnap and abuse other women? Do they "hate all women"?
Sex crimes are done by perverts for their own gratification, not as part of a demographic political "hate" agenda against one sex or the other. A sadist who's attracted to women will probably choose women as victims because that what they are attracted to. Ones who are attracted to men, will most likely chose men.
Its got nothing to do with imaginary "patriarchy" or demographic politics, and it certainly does nothing to "prove" whether one sex or the other is more disadvantanged in America today.
