I know it seems like a small and maybe insignificant thing, but we were walking one night very late and she just casually reached over and took my hand in hers. It was so unexpected, but so beautifully perfect. It took my breath away.

My wife, whom I have been with for a total of 26 years. The most romantic thing that she has ever done and continues to do, is that she makes me feel comfortable and safe enough to be myself, no matter how goofy or dorky I feel like being.
I had an ex-girlfriend a long time ago that when we were together, I felt like I had a certain image that I had to uphold. She was one of those people that always acted prim/proper/professional when outside of the house...didn't like showing affection when out in public, that sort of type. I never felt comfortable enough to really be myself and that relationship ended.

My wife loves me for who I am and how I behave, because it shows that I feel safe with her. Can't get more romantic than that.
