Seriously.

It's our first V Day together and I have no clue what to get him. He's one of those hard-to-shop-for types.

Besides, the sex. . .give me some suggestions.

Five foot five, blonde, green eyes, long hair, cute giggle, and artistic.
Wrapped in flannell jammies and wearing a felt blue chocker necklace with a little bow on it.

Guys like getting chocolate too. Just forget the flowers. Most guys couldn't care less about them.

Get him flowers. If you want to get him a memento, how about a framed pic of the two of you together somewhere?

I disagree. I like getting flowers. I think most guys are just surprised by it and don't know what to say.

Honestly, get him something personal, has he told you anything exceptionally personal about what he likes? what type of hobbies does he have? gifts should be exceptionally personal things, even if its a plastic plane toy. it might be exceptionally special if he told you at one time when he was 5 his older brother destroyed his favorite plane toy and he doesnt know why but it still makes him angry at his brother. (absurd example but you get the point)

I did flowers for his birthday; he liked them, but wasn't overly excited.

I know enough about him to get him something personal. . .I guess I'm just obsessing because I want it to be perfect.

plasticman. . .you think the sex would be enough of a present? :D

thats the silliest question Ive heard all week! :)

heya Cutie!

I'd be happy to get anything for Valentines Day, especially sex, figuring that I am single right now...

There should be an Anti-Valentines Day for us single folk!

I would say that how long you've been together would greatly determine.

I know it's been under a year, but has it been over 6 months? Under? Under 6 weeks?

The intamacy involved in gift giving for a 'couple' should reflect the intamacy of the relationship.

For instance: if it's been under like 2 months, and you still haven't done a sleep over, a framed picture might be a bit much for him.

Does he like sports?

Sports tickets are a good easy way of getting on a man's good side. Get two, tell him that you want to share an evening doing what HE likes. Go to a pub before hand, get a cheese burger, and a beer (YECK), and go cheer for his team! Have them wrapped up with a hat or t-shirt for the team. Also, most larger cities have minor league esque teams, which are also cheaper, and easier to get seats to.

Try sending flowers, but nothing girly, like a bouquet of roses and carnations.

Specify that it's for a man, and ask for deep dark colors, like burgandy, and what not.

I have sent my hubby balloons, stuffed animals, and flowers at work. He got a laugh out of them, and loved them.

If your relationship is still at a discovering stage, go with humor, it rarely fails. Cute little stuffed animals that say: prisoner of your love, etc. Things that won't be taken seriously if he's not into the whole I love you stage.

I have one set of friends who set's an amount each year, so that they don't feel they spent to much, or not enough for each other. Part of thier tihng, though, is that their anniversary is in february, and thier birthday's are both in early march.

A few small idea's, nothing overly big, but hopefully they will help.

I would have thought you would have wanted a biker chick with German or European ancestry that could go with you to the KKK meetings, and look good in a white sheet.

Thats only for the weekends.

Just to be able to smile to myself. To smile, with the knowledge that I've done one more thing, to make the woman I love, fall deeper in love with me.

For her to smile, and to except my gift to her with nothing in return. Seriously get him something personal he enjoys.

Oh, oh! Give him a little thing of fudge that can be used later.

I just ordered a DVD series for my hubby. He wanted it a few weeks ago when he was going to be travelling, but they didn't have it at the store - so I went on-line and ordered it - he'll have it in time for his next trip! Oh - and the series is The Earth to the Moon.
