didn't we go through this once...or twice..and currently.

so...who will be the first to offer: "women are bitches" ?

OOPS! did I?

nope. Cause I don't think so..but I sure have somew mental imagery!

yes we are.

It was about the picture, not the actual argument of the point.

Geez. You guys are so touchy.

I thought the picture was funny, and I just went and made up a headline that I thought was funny to go along with it.

I sort of figured people would go, "I can't believe she said that, how dare she!" or whatever, and then click over and laugh when they saw the pic.

Guess not.

So you want to berate people for thinking or not thinking what you thought they'd think but they did or did not think it?

I'm confused.

Not at all. That was just my clumsy way of trying to show my intent.

maybe.

I am still of the mind that a woman who has attributes of a "bitch" is not a desireable person.

I realise that "bitch" has taken on different connotations ..especially among women.... an meant to mean; powerful, assertive, taking no shit....but to me it just means nasty and disagreeable (which could be just what you meant)

Well, I think to me it means that respect is this: Everyone is a nation unto themselves. They are their own ambassador. You can't make assumptions about them. You can state clearly what you want and what you expect. If I tell you what I want, I mean it. If you tell me what you want, I will listen. I don't have to agree, and I don't have to provide it. If you accept that we are ambassadors and are negotiating, that's fine. If however you want to storm over my borders and tell me what the law is, that's war.

it is kinda funny...but a sensitive issue for many...and more so than I even was aware until i was reading the boyfriend tread by Blacksnake.

Criminies
IF i come across as a 'nice guy"... I am probably a smooth liar who will shortly (or in the future) reveal myself as an abusive asshole.

If I am a tough bad-ass..the MAYBE there is hope for me to become a nice guy (or have hidden nice traights)...or at least at face value you know you are getting a bad-ass.

If you are attractive (I am not), then you are either gay or a self-centered, smooth liar...soon to be abusive.

It is no wonder that so many women here are lesbinims or playing at being.

It's true, it just takes a very long time to get to know people and people are subject to change at any time.

So everyone takes their chances, I'm afraid.

sadly... from what I have read... too often one does not find out until it is "too late" (or at least very complicated).

He was "nice" until we got married...or had children.

(believe me..I know)

An older woman, a customer of mine at the time, came into my workplace on a regular basis. One day she said, "don't ever get married. As soon as you do, they change." She was married once or twice (I don't remember)- bad times.

It's true, you often don't find out till it's too late. I think that's why it's important to //at least try to// set up our society so that it's never really 'too late.' But alas, it is not like that now, by far.
