I watched the Naked Chef last night, the things I would do -- to have a man cook for me like that.

How many men actually cook?

I cook all the time!

I like watching the food network channel too... Emeril's great... Also like watching the Naked Chef, Good Eats, Ming Tsai, and Sara Moulton's shows....

Oh well, bang goes macho image (if I ever had one!).

I love cooking but I have a habit of destroying the kitchen as I do it.

We now have an agreement, my wife does the everyday variety and I'm allowed a free rein when it comes to Chinese, Indian or other exotic concoctions.

Its amazing the number of exotic concoctions we have these days!

Me!

I cook.

It's a tradition here, on the last night of one of my workshops, I do the whole thing for my clients.

Weather permitting - out in the 'lapa' (an area enclosed by a reed wall to keep the animals out) with the stars as a ceiling.

Usually a 4 course meal.

Clients 'eat their fingers off' so I guess I'm doing something right!

And yes, I enjoy it. Very much. It's a form of relaxation for me - creating tantalising and tasty meals in the middle of the African bush.

I cook all the time, I've known how for 27 of my 35 years. The first thing I ever made by myself, was home made apple turnovers.

Nothing wrong with a man who knows who to cook, clean AND do windows, eh? :D

My Mom first, and then my Fathers' maid both taught me from the time I was very young, and now today, I am the main cook in the house.

The very first show I ever watched when I got my satellite dish 4 years ago, was one Emeril's first of his "live" shows, and was hooked on the food network ever since. Makes me wonder why we even pay $16/month for the playboy channel when I watch the Food network more!

Every Sunday, I invite five different friends over for breakfast or dinner.

I've been cooking since I was 11. I find it very artistic and relaxing.

Mmm...I have this fantasy about a man cooking for me. There is something erotic about sitting back with a glass of wine and watching a man work in the kitchen.

Me too... sounds so wonderful.

I cook for my girlfriend all the time. She loves it.

My parents figured that since my sister and I were home from school before they were home from work we should learn how to cook at least one meal a week. That's where I learned it.

Is that so? I do it more now out of neccesity, since my wife doesn't cook much, or well at all. But I don't mind cooking for anyone at all. Come one over anytime for a meal, kitchen's always open. Which reminds me, time for some home made soup.

What kind of wine, so I know what kind to pick up? I dont' drink red as it gives me headaches, so we don't keep much more than white wine, and some hard liqours on hand.

lo

What, are you kidding

How do you think I grew out of my jeans? LOL

My sweetie, is a fine cook. Haven't had a bad meal yet. Of course, desert is better.

Peace,

daughter

p.s. You never hear me complaining about washing the dishes. We have a lovely arrangement.

What?? You mean that every man doesn't cook for his girlfriend every single night? Now I'm confused.

Boy Scouts. That's where I learned to cook. I guess all those years in the wilderness did something for me.

I love to cook which is handy because I live alone, I think it's important to be able to care for your self and I don't understand men who regard cooking as a less than manly art.....after all what could be more manly than being able to look after yourself with good food ?

I see nothing macho about eating crap.

wooooo...My fist invite. I'll bring the wine, I look forward to watching you work...

I was watching the Neeked Chef the other night. Rib roast, yorkshire pudding..ohhhh served by the pool. Now, that's what I'm talking about. A man that can cook is just fine with me. :D

A small tip for anybody making Yorkshire pudding, make the batter the day before you need it and keep it in the fridge and it comes out better when you cook it.........I don't know why.....it just does.

Great line!

I learnt to cook from my mother, grandmother and Scouts, I can make anything from soda-bread on a griddle, a three piece meal or quick and dirty fry over an open fire in the back of beyond.

I moved out when I started university and I actually enjoy my meals, too many people I know eat crap just because they can heat it up in the micro.

I must admit I also get a buzz out of the prep work for cooking too.

My husband does about 75% of the cooking at our house. He gets home 2 hours earlier than I do, so it just makes sense. Besides....um.....he's a better cook than I am.

So there are a LOT of men that cook and enjoy it. And you lucky women, I am green with envy :D Maybe its the area I live in, lol.. I knew I needed to move.

Gloomy afternoon stew

Great Thread!

I have just put the finishing touches on a huge pot of stew, for my buddy, his wife, and I to consume this evening...

Good aged beef, fresh spuds, carrots, parsnips, bell pepper, a bottle of Chardonnay, garlic onions etc. - it will be yummy by 7:30 when my hosts return!

Escoffier was a man - Emeril's a guy - OK, so the kitchen suffers a bit ffor our input - but I enjoy it a lot! At home I probably do 45-50% of meals...

Me me

I cook all the time in my household mostly because she could burn snow!! I think she loves the fact that I can dish up these great meals for her. Now I just have to get her to wash up. Hmmmm ... maybe a spanking if she doesn't ... YUM.

OK Let's Here It For Sexy Men

I think a man that can cook is extremely sexy!!!!!!!!!!

Let's face it most of the great chef's are male and I for one would not mind cleaning up after a man that cooked in more ways then one!!!

I love cooking which is just as well because my last two partners could burn water.

My favourites are Italian food, and chicken and fish dishes. Smoked chicken fettucinne in a cream, garlic, mushroom, red wine and asparagus sauce is my specialty, and I have just graduated to making my own pasta.
