Today is Memorial Day when we remember those who have served their country in its defense of freedom. Men and women who have served not only in the military but other positions of importance in serving their country, family, and human rights throughout the world. Today we have as always to face those who would drag the world into the dark ages. Communists, Fascists, Socialists, Terrorists and even home grown turn coats who are doing all they can to destroy our God given freedoms and our Constitution. But as always the American people will defeat the evils of the world.

Freedom is easy to lose and hard to win, so it is with great pride that we salute those who stand on the front line of its defense. Our borders aren’t there to keep people in nor are they there to keep honest hard working people who wish to embrace our customs and laws and become legal citizens of this country out. Only countries like those of the world’s dictators do people try to escape and their police and armies exist not to protect, but to imprison and punish their own people.

It’s true that many of our turn coats have pointed to countries like Venezuela and Cuba and China and Russia as models of great social style governments. But these same people refuse to leave this country for their “peoples heaven on earth” as they can see as anyone can what a failure these types of governments are and how the people suffer at the hands of a few. Remember both the Communist and Fascists states call themselves Socialists. There is as they say not a dimes worth of difference between the two. Both require that their leaders are gods and as true religious bigots wish to destroy anyone who believes otherwise. That they are royalty and have the right as all royalists believe to live as corrupt capitalist while those of their own people live as slaves, serfs, peons, and starve and work for little or nothing for the good of the state. (How many of the fat cat rich who support the turn coasts can survive of $50 a month?) It is our service men and women who protect us from such monsters of the human race. And to them we give our thanks, our prayers and our support.

Whenever you see a member of the military or a member of the local first responders, say “Thank you for your service.”

I stopped reading there, because this is wrong. Memorial Day is about those who died in the service of our country, not those who served but didn't die in the service. Those folks, the ones who served in military service, although there are a lot of other civilians who put in the same service, some who died doing it, have their own day--Veteran's Day. The rest of your post might have been wonderful, although I doubt it because you are such a sleazy yutz in your expressed views, but if you can't get the first sentence right, why bother reading further?

I know what Memorial Day is. I served in the service, my father was in for 22 years and I'm named after one of his uncles who was lost at sea when his ship went down in battle with all hands. My family has been in this country's service since 1640. I put flags on graves of many find people who were veterans and those who lost their life in the service of their country.

We also have Veterans Day and like you I observe it too. But this is a day to remember all who have given their lives and who have served. When my father passed away he was buried at sea from a Naval Ship. I honor him today as I honor the uncle I was named after.

If you want to get technical I understand. I know you are not being disrespectful and neither am I. We like all Americans are thankful and morn their sacrifice.

I laughed. You screwed up your first sentence and you came back with gobbledygook that shows you either have no idea that you screwed up your first sentence or that you are a graduate of Trump U. :D

You're such a Trumpian treasure. :D
