Today is United States Memorial Day, a day of remembrance for service members who gave their lives in defense of the nation.

I knew several people who are being honored today, so it has a deep meaning for me.

On a lighter note, I saw several huge turkeys at Arlington today. This is the best photo I took, right behind the Women's Memorial.

I like the cemetery scenes but they also make you sad to see the loss of treasures due to conflict.
