Melania Trump Wears a Hijab...er... Veil... to the Vatican

Alright now, I gotta say... if you're going to refuse the dress code of one religious country and then follow the dress code of another religious... place... that's kind of bullshit. I'm not calling Vatican City a country. It's not a country. It's the ultimate cool kids club for religious people.

So, she covers her head in a veil... 'sigh'

I know that all the rage is making fun of the fact that she looks like she wants her husband to die, and that's funny... but what I'm more interested in is the fact that it's almost like a message that she's sending, saying "Hey we respect this religious place but not that religious place."

Now, most people here think I side with Christianity, but I don't. And I don't think it's cool to send the message that we're on Christians' side. Not to mention, what will the Muslim countries think when they see this? I would feel as though it were a slap in the face, which would create more tension.

So, bad move. If you're not going to dress properly in one country, don't suck the Pope's dick either.

Melania and Ivanka did exactly what was requested by both religious entities. The Saudis indicated they did not have to be covered for this trip, so they didn't. The Vatican rules about covering their heads was not waived so they both complied with that rule. It seems they were being totally respectful.

Melania identified herself as Catholic during this visit to the Vatican. So, it's no surprise she would follow Catholic traditions while there and Chris is just being his usual juvenile troll self.

Of course Chris got it wrong once more. It's customary for the first lady to wear a veil - that's why she wore it. She did exactly what she was required to do to show respect. Hell, I never thought there'd be the day I'd be defending one of the Trumps!
