Meeting A Woman Soon

Hey Guys,

Sorry I haven't been posting in about a week or so. Don't worry I'm fine. Anyways onto my point here.....

My friend Scott from work and I were talking the other day during the slow time when nobody came in and he mentioned a friend of his fiancee that had just recently been through some rough times in relationships and had an abortion. And after hearing him talk about her for a while, I raised the idea that she needed to meet someone nice, caring, and someone who would treat her like a queen (me). I said to him that if she wanted all this in a guy, I would love to meet her sometime and get to know her. I said I would do all I could to make a woman feel good especially the type of woman he describes her to be.

So what I ask since I have never actually been set up with a blind date before, how do I go into this? On one side I am nervous because she could end up being "the one", but relaxed because all I am doing is meeting her. *sigh* Wish me luck people!

But from what you have said I would recomend being a friend to / for her first, dont push and allow her to set the pace.

Yes I agree, take it easy at first, be sensible. If it's going to be more than that, your heart (or possibly other organs) will give you the signal loud and clear.
If you are interested, I met my Wendy on a blind date, and spent the whole of the next day singing "Hey Jude" - you know the line "you have found her, now go and get her!".
So I did.
We've been married six years now, "and it don't seem a day too much.."

Not because of the blind date thing, they have been fun even when I felt like recoiling in terror initialy.

eg. the one who came out with the statement (at the beginning of the date) "unless you see this heading toward marriage lets shake hands and part ways" YIKES! Red Flag!

I say your brave because you put all this stuff out here for everyone to see. That takes some guts.

And Jeff, i've said this before but don't worry that every woman might be the one. When it is you'll know it and so will she. Your putting WAY too much pressure on your self big dog. Go have a good time get to know her, for that matter get to know as many women as you can and let things come to you.

You deserve it, it will come.

Exactly so.

Be considerate, unpushy, relaxed, and treat as a decent human. Let her set the pace is very good advice. All of which I think you would do anyway.

I appreciate the vote of confidence Expertise. Coming from one of the esteemed members of the board, it's really cool. Some people say I reveal too much about myself. But that's their opinion. OH WELL.

I know I put way too much pressure on myself, especially with the first gf I had a couple months ago. I think that's what made us just be friends after 2 weeks.

I guess it's just that I want companionship so bad and sometimes I am overly optimistic. And about keeping my options open, yes I am doing that because my friend (a friend from this board) has someone she wants me to meet when I go visit her next yr sometime. SO hey I will have me some fun, yo! After all I am only 20. But one day I do want to have the comfort of one woman, and when time is ready for me to have her, then so be it. For now I just plan to go out, have fun, and drink on occasion. (going to a kegger sometime too)

My friend says she is a real hottie and sometimes smokes pot. Does weed make a girl want sex more? I hope so! Cos if so I will have trojans ready.

smoking pot ... well i think it can relax a woman more during sex ... but really i think she would have to be interested in you in the first place, nescafé? i mean if there is no chemistry between you, no amount of pot smoking is going to make her horny for you ...

but, on the other hand, if there is chemistry between you, well .... smoking pot won't be the essential element to having good sex ...

at least that's my two cents ... ohhhhh does that make sense?
