Meet the dim sim.

The dim sim is not to understand, it is to ponder.

You are meeting the fried variety there.

Lock up your cats...

No ruby, shop up the road... and you dont want to know whats in em.

Chefie, are you really a chef? I know so little about you really.

I made salmon tonight, stuffed with an herbed butter of fresh dill, garlic and lemon zest. It came out pretty good actually.

I'm growing quite fond of lemon zest. When you peel it and chop it up, the lemon oils are amazingly fragrant.

I don't want to be a chef (terrible hours), but I wouldn't mind taking some cooking classes when I have time.

Yummy, I adore Dim Sims.

Great now I'm hungry

If you want some practice you can always come to my house Ruby and cook me dinner......I'm positively drooling over your description of dinner.....

Do you want to know what's in it? Maybe you're better of not knowing but it doesn't fall into the 'health food' section of the supermarket..

:D

Absolutely. I'm always in search of new prey, er, dinner companions.

There is the most incredible place for dim sum in San Diego. Going there for lunch is heaven. Shrimp shu-mi's (I know that's misspelled, but oh well), chowsy-bows (also mispelled), noodles, an endless supply of excellent green tea, Chinese broccoli, all the other tasty little goodies brought to you on carts by women who speak about 3 words of English.

"Is there meat in that?"

"Meat?"

"Yes, meat. In that dumpling - is there meat?"

"Oh no. No meat."

Then you cut the thing open and it's full of pork & sauce.

And you eat it anyway, because it's that fucking good.

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm getting in the mood for some chow mein. :)
