Hello! I've been reading the stories on this site for quite some time now, but just recently joined the forum a few days ago. As of yet, I haven't seen a place for a warm hello yet (but I haven't strained myself searching either, so the fault can be considered mine), and thought this was as good a place as any.

I hope to be a regular contributor to this forum, so I wanted to first introduce myself. My name is Amanda, but I usually go by Mandy. I've actually never written anything before, but consider my grammar and thought process to be adequate enough to try.

I've never been a "traditional porn" type of person. The visual aspects are great, make no mistake, but I find the mind to be much more powerful and appreciate how a well written story and the mind can combine to create an experience "traditional porn" can only dream of. So, as you can see, a site like this is perfect for me. I enjoy reading the majority of the stories on here, and hope to one day contribute my own.

I am very open about my sexuality, and fall under many categories. One of the things I wanted to comment on is how impressed I am with this site, thus far, and how open everyone seems to be to each other. This type of acceptance is one of the main reasons I'm so excited to join this board. Everyone seems very civil, and the intelligence level of the members here is MUCH deeper than some of the other sites I've seen where, "hey baby, eye want 2 fuck u" is considered a well thought out sentence. Yeah, I've already received a couple PMs, but I was expecting that, and I haven't gotten too many....


But I digress.... The bottom line is, it appears you have a GREAT thing going here, and I hope to stick around a while and add some value to this site. I look forward to conversing with everyone. I have to admit, I am a bit shy at times, but this community has already made me feel at ease.

A very interesting welcome, Mandy, and allow me to welcome you to the AH. Call me Slyc, or Willie, but please not SW. There are enough names with those initials around here.

Also, let me just thank you for using the word "conversing" and not "conversating."

If you're interested in writing, take a look at some of the stories posted by regulars in the AH. Then develop your own style. Above all, have fun, keep a sense of humor, and you might want to look into purchasing a thick skin. You might need it.

P.s. Regular posting time for a story is between 3 and 6 days after submitting. Perhaps longer for your very first one. This might seem extraneous information right now, but hold onto it.

I have another character by that name also, but she is actually the room mate of the main character in that series.

There are a couple of "eternal" threads on the AH with pretty consistant memberships. Check 'em all out and choose the one that you feel most comfortable in. Personally, I like the Naked Party.

No, I can't say that I ever have. I guess if you're name is Amanda, you're destined to be called Mandy sooner or later. hahahaha. Lately it seems like everyone goes by Mandy, it seems more common than Amanda these days. I blame Mandy Moore for that! hahahaha. I will have to read your work. It has my name in it, so I'm sure to be biased!

No, I can't say that I ever have. I guess if you're name is Amanda, you're destined to be called Mandy sooner or later. hahahaha. I should warn you. They are pretty dirty and most of themn don't have much of a plot or character development or anything else but detailed descriptions of sex acts.

The Flashfic thread is one way to get your feet wet as a writer. You compose 100 words or less to the current subject, which, at the moment, is "Stars". If you happen to post the tenth story, you get to pick the next topic, although topic is putting it loosely. As long as "stars" shows up somewhere in your story, you're good. I like to try for the unexpected, for example I'd probably go for "seeing stars" but now that I've thrown that idea out there, hopefully someone else will pick up on it and save me the trouble. I'm working on my taxes at the moment.
