Chauvin is being tried over the death of George Floyd in May of last year. Shapiro accused the media on Wednesday of “ignoring the prosecution’s difficulties” and giving a one-sided view of the trial to the public.

“If you watch the actual Chauvin trial and then watch the media coverage of the Chauvin trial, the gap is stunning. The media are paving the way for riots by ignoring the prosecution’s difficulties – and his acquittal is not a remote possibility based on those difficulties,” Shapiro said.

“The use-of-force officer admitted that Chauvin’s procedure (use of body weight and pressure) was a LESSER use of force than adopted in the past, that it wasn’t a chokehold, that use of force standards change based on drug use or physical stature of a suspect, that he had personally restrained suspects until EMS arrived, that some suspects quickly regain consciousness and thus sometimes suppression is necessary despite appearances,” he said.

Shapiro was referencing testimony by Minneapolis Police Department Use-of-Force trainer Lieutenant Johnny Mercil, whose testimony undercut the prosecution’s case on several points during cross-examination, according to Law of Self Defense attorney Andrew Branca.

You certainly have a talent for picking the depraved loser side of ever issue. :D

Ben Shapiro defended a racist cop for murdering an innocent black man?!?!?!

That's sooooo outta of character for him.

I think the racist right sees the writing on the wall. That's why they're harping so much on the possibility - the possibility - of rioting if Chauvin gets off. They need something other than the reality of his guilt to point to when he is convicted, and "they were just afraid Black people would riot" hits them right in the sweet spot.

I can see who’s on which side.

DHS warned that foreign entities could see an opportunity in the ongoing trial.

"Foreign terrorist groups and nation-state adversaries may seek to sow discord by portraying the trials as indicative of a racist and divided American public," the document says. "Last year, both al-Qa'ida and the Islamic State of Iraq and ash-Sham published media depicting the civil unrest as emblematic of societal division in the United States, and al-Qa'ida compared the protests to its alleged efforts to 'end injustice and oppose tyranny.' Russian and Iranian media outlets have claimed that the trials surrounding the death of George Floyd illustrate America's police brutality and racism, according to press reporting."

His guilt has yet to be determined.

Oh that's right, you don't care for the law or how it works.

You just want the white guy to hang!!!

LOL....it hits the sweet spot because guess what happens when the left doesn't get what it wants? It gets violent and destructive.

Every time I refer to your long history of claiming someone said something completely different from what they really said, your response is to demand an example. This is an example!

This is not that.

Unless you're going to pretend you didn't say

???

Are you saying he's not guilty???

Not “if” but “when.”

You did.

I'm saying it looks like he is going to be found guilty as of now. Did you miss the part of that same post where I referred to "if Chauvin gets off," or are you just ignoring it because it defeats your argument?

Couldn't have said it better.... this guy supports a murder that we all witnessed and says

Oh, Mr Floyd was killed using less force than in the past so we should all be happy about it.

Wtf! Pathetic!

In reality, the right has been taught by the left that they are inclined towards violence.

But, relax. He won't get off. The jury has already been inculcated and intimidated.

Cops are the enemy. Criminals rule!!!

Thank you for proving my point.

What's it say about our justice system that we are having a 4 week trial for a murder everyone saw happen.

If Chauvin walks it’s because he was found not guilty by a jury of his peers in spite of a biased media which is feeding a different narrative than what’s actually happening in court.

Because you might not have seen a murder and even white males deserve a fair trial when accused of a crime.

Not that you would agree. :D

Actual justice would really upset the Luks and Robs.

Have you been in the courtroom? If not, how do you know it's "a different narrative" (beyond your usual reason for making such claims: because you want it to be true).

Can’t find a Kraken to release?

Fox News isn’t doing live coverage of the trial because, well, you know...

There are news sources other than RAW, Jacobin, NYT, MSN, Salon and CNN.

You should give one of them a try sometime. :)

The media has convicted him and you know it. Any outcome other than guilty and the lame street media is passively sanctioning violence. The media has been steering the narrative right from the beginning. You can't possibly believe that these jurors don't consider their lives in danger if any decision other than guilty is rendered. The lunes will hunt them down.
