Tirnanog College was far from the best school in Springfield, but it had standards. It had been an anchor for the local community over the last one hundred and twenty years. Most of the students were third or fourth generation, which gave the school that strong sense of family that had been missing from a number of other schools, Tyler Green had taught at.
Still ever school has it’s slackers and trouble makers, and Tirnanog was no different.
Standing at 5 ft 10 ½ in, Tyler towered over Luna. He brushed his long dark brown hair from his youthful face and handed her the assignment results from her last essay.
“I must say, I’m more than a little disappointed, Luna.” Tyler crossed the floor and took a seat behind the desk. He leaned back in his chair with his hands placed together regarding Luna with his piercing brown eyes.
“You started the year so promising, but in the last few weeks you’ve been distracted. Barely paying attention and let’s be honest, I’ve caught you sleeping more than once. Now you have one more essay due at the end of the week on Alice in Wonderland. If you don’t score well, I’m going to have to fail you.
"Now, if you are having problems at home you can talk to me about it. If you need help with any questions, please visit my office. But you must get this essay done, otherwise…” Tyler left the statement hanging.
