I just finished a story The Commuter, Part Two), which should be ok'd in a few days. Somehow my mind took me into my creative mode and I "built" a fucking machine for a final scene. The idea just brew like a tornado once started, and I am eager to pursue more along this line. Any suggestions? Examples?

I have seen some of the machines that have been more commonly exhibited, even sold, but my interest lies in something more sophisticated. Lying before some massive, immovable hulk that simply pistons a latex dildo back and forth isn't taking advantage of today's technologies. I think I'll put the mind to work on something new and more innovative. Ideas? Comments? Perhaps someone interested in using something like this would care to comment on what the device must most importantly do for them!

As I see it, the cyborg/droid needs some emoyional response sensors onboard to be able to pick up on her desires. The AI capacity is a bit better than the designers intended. The selfadaption progresses....could be an interesting parable like the Eden story.

Quest For The Mechanical Wife
There is one idea I've been kicking around in various forms for a while, both in terms of an actual novel, and as a short story for lit.
Basically, I've been considering the idea of a human-robot sexual relationship that doesn't actually involve a robot in the modern sense of the term. We've become too familiar with that basic idea, and its even become a bit cliche. Instead, I've been doing a bit of digging into the realm of Automata -a machine of wood and clockwork that emulates a human. In the late 1700s, Baron VonKempelon invented The Turk. It was an automata that could play chess. In fact, it was a kind of hoax -the cabinet contained a human chess player that operated the machine. But, even as a hoax, it was a remarkable bit of work. It occured to me, that as The Turk recreated the illusion of human intelligence, perhaps there could be another that recreated the aspect of human lust -The Concubine. There would be no human operator (though a version of this story could include that concept), but rather a system of mechanical reflexes that would re-create the motions of a female lover as she accepts the ardor directed towards her. She would naturally be crafted and clothed in a way that would make it difficult at first sight to distinguish her from a real living woman. Exactly how the scenario would play out has taken a number of different courses in my mind.
I've also recently read 'Tomorrow's Eve' by Villiers de l'Isle. Here, a fiction Thomas Edison offers his good friend the chance to replace his troublesome girlfriend with a mechanical replacement -one which would mimic her appearance with perfection, but retain only those qualities of character that make her worthy of his love.

Interesting ideas, Akito01. The fact is I suppose, we all do have certain things that are most important when evaluating a partner. The trick is to separate out the most important without loosing the "whole". If a sex toy doesn't moan, doesn't that take a huge piece of the pleasure away? Have to think more on this for I think it presents an interesting challenge

Part TWO of The Commuter is up now and in it is a first stab at making the machine better than the human. I have to admit to being immensely interested in this idea. There was a story I once came across (not on this site, I don't think), where a woman offers herself as a subject in the study of electrically induced orgasms. It was extremely cool.

As usual, a story starts out with one idea, and takes on a life and direction of its own. I began a story as a result of all the great feedback here and found it quickly moving in a whole new direction, attempting I think to gather a lot of the ideas on this thread into its tale. We'll see how it works out. I ahven't titled it yet, but will when it fully develops. I love to write like this, though I can imagine it might be frustrating for someone waiting to hear even if they will be interested. The freedom of imagination is so powerful this way however, it often leads me to new ground. And I think that is just as important as anything. SO I'll keep you posted and post the results. You guys are all great and keep up the terrific contributions!
