Means of Binding - A Help Me Thread

Hello.

My partner and I are looking to expand our current bedroom antics. She's interested in light forms of bondage and restraint. We've a variety of means at our current disposal but I was hoping to find suggestions on new, different ways.

She does not enjoy being gagged or having her head/face restrained unless it is by my hands. Also, personally, I prefer improvised methods of binding (neckties, belts, etc) over "props" given one of our greatest mutual turn-ons is spontaneity.

Suggestions would be welcome.


And, in addition, one specific request she had was to be bound to a door by her wrists. I'm not entirely sure if there is something common she's referring to. Any help here would be appreciated before I break out a length of rope and figure something out.

Actual cuffs are more comfortable and better suited for longer-term bondage. There are plenty of sellers online. Heavier ropes are better than narrow cording. Visit your local hardware store and have fun. It's amazing how many pervertables Ace carries.

Whatever you decide to use, buy a pair of EMT scissors and have them handy whenever you play. They can literally save life or limb.

You can find the elements of rope bondage there, and ignore the fancy stuff-- I do. I love rope because it's so endlessly versatile, but it's a means to an end IMO. I'm not obsessed with it for its own sake.

The door tie-- I'm thinking, you can bind her wrists, throw the rope over the top of the door and anchor it to the knob on the other side. But I could be wrong. You should ask her to pose it for you.

Tie wraps work really well. They sell them in any hardware store and are very cheap. They come in all sizes and length. Here are some on amazon. I’ve used these to tie someone to a bed post, chair. You will have to cut them off and the thicker you get the harder they are to cut.

You can lacerate the fuck out of someone's soft spots with those, like wrists for instance. A great way to use them is intimidation play. Your bottom is not going to want to struggle much.

The idea of cutting my girl isn't an appealing one. We're not quite at that speed and most likely won't ever get there. That said, I appreciate the input regardless.

To my mind, there are three primary intentions for rope bondage.

1) Tie me up all pretty because it feels hot and looks even hotter.
2) Tie me down and ravish me/have your way with me
3) Tie me up, down and all around so I can struggle safely.

They can, and often do intersect. Some may not float your boat at all.

I adore Japanese rope bondage pix. The intricacy is gorgeous and some of it looks incredibly sexy. However, I don't have the patience to stand there to achieve the results, and think it gets awfully tedious after a while. So I'm perfectly happy to collect pretty pix and leave it at that.

One of my faves is having her lay on her back, pull her knees up, and tying her forearms to the calves. You can run a rope from about the middle of one tied pair, under her body, to the other to pull her legs down and apart.
