By adjourning the Senate until after the election, Mitch has decided to let the working class starve, the economy collapse, and millions be evicted from their homes in the middle of a pandemic. Global economic ruin could be next. Or just a Second American Revolution, this one resembling that of France in the 1790s or Russia in 1917. The masses are in actual peril of starvation, infection, and exposure to the elements. Civilization could well implode.

All because Mitch got tired of haggling with the White House and Pelosi. Both Trump and Nancy goofed up a bit, sure, but this one is on the Turtle.
 
And there is now a quasi-new variant of covid in Europe. What does thus mean? No masks...it will happen here too...and the vaccines that have been developed probably won't work. Be nice if our Govt actually cared enough to try to do something

Why would the working class starve? They're working.

It's all the folks who (D)'s won't let work (but rioting is GREAT!!!) you now, the "non essential" folks that are fucked.

They should move to a red state and get back to work so they can enjoy affordable housing and food. Things the dark blue states haven't seen in decades and are flat out prohibited in them now.

Also the senate shutting down is obviously on him, but not the fact this has been held up by the Trump/Pelosi penis measuring contest this has turned into.

Also public health policy is at most a state issue and largely local, as it should be. Policies for a metro uberplex could be catastrophic for a small city or town or the other way around.

Without congressional action there isn't all that much feds can do except getting some emergency aid and funding out.

The former being totally unnecessary because covid ain't that serious and the latter need almost entirely because blue states decided the best course of action to fight covid was to assassinate their economies and get a double tap in by letting the loonies/kids riot and loot.

Then get mad because POTUS won't send money to pay for the riots you enabled. :rolleyes:

The irony is that, too late, Trump has been desperate enough to finally urge a stimulus, but because Mitch now views Trump as finished, he has no incentive to do anything to save him.

The Donald simply waited too long, too little, too late.
