And that is how people get hurt / abused. Taking your time to figure things out and to learn about people, especially if you're a sub is exactly the right thing to do.

Never take a single person's word for anything (even mine) get multiple view points from multiple people and be wary of anyone who demands you obedience before they even know who you are.

For a basic place to get some non-threatening information I would suggest starting in the BDSM Talk / Cafe threads a little higher up the forums. They're full of useful articles and non-judgemental threads where you can get some ideas about what is available out there.

Could not have said it better! As an ex Dom, it's important to build the relationship trust before clothes come off. And if you don't have the same. Kinks in common it can be a total bust. Communicate, learn each other and ask questions. Never be afraid to learn more about your interest.
