Its mainly shit. Ive been on it for a few months. Yes, people do share and swap naked pics and some cyber fun does go on but since its world wide the odds of you finding someone close by to hook up with are small. There are also a tremendous amount of fakes and bullshitters on it and people come and go constantly.
There are some fun groups and something for almost any interest, and you can also start you own group if so inclined. I should clarify and say that its ok, and can be fun if you like to chat and bullshit, but its not a replacement for CL at all.
its easy to check out, try it and see if you like it. it takes a few days to learn your way around and to get into the explicit groups but is simple to use

Craigslist in the UK is awful as well it is full of spammers wanting you to join some dodgy site to verify, when all they want is personal info and credit card. chances of meeting real people on there are slim, not sure if anyone finds someone here, but at least there are genuine pics of women, and good stories to read, would like to find someone in UK to chat to with chance of a meet but I think the chances are slim, so will enjoy the site for what it has.

CL personals forum flooded with bots
I used Craiglist for a while in Houston. Many of the responses to my ad were clearly bot generated, same wording, etc. and of course leading to the "verification website" scam. Not falling for the scam mostly results in insulting messages, again bot generated.
