it's called SULFNBK.exe

it's a timed release little bastard that Norton 2002 won't pick up on. a friend on mine's parents got it on their computer and were systematically locked out for a week while it deleted 90% of their hard drive.

it should more than likely be in the C:\windows\command folder (where it was on everybody here's puters), which might cause the less computer savy to be worried about deleting it, but it has nothing to do with Windoze. just delete it and empty your bin.

It's a hoax... and I could be wrong but I think you're supposed to have that file.

well, then whoever my friend's parents got to fix their puter is in on it.

Well then.. give your friend.. this link.. or tell him to do a search.. for any warning he gets about viruses..

http://www.symantec.com

doing a search for this information is simple.. use google.. or like me.. dogpile.com type in the name of the virus.. and it will find you very valuable information...

trust me...there are more hoaxes out there then there is viruses.

I actually had an email in regard to that 'virus' about 6 mths ago. As the email was forwarded from someone I know personally I did what it suggested, as it told me if I didnt do it before a certain date then it would erase my hard drive. Well.... it ends up deleting a required DLL file.
Two days later I got the email telling me it was a hoax ....

My husbands ex wife did the same thing..

Point well made as to why you must check out all virus alerts BEFORE doing what someone tells you to do..
