May Day celebration

With Beltane/May Day (May 1st) rapidly approaching, it strikes me that there's a story in there, just waiting for someone to write it.

For anyone who doesn't know, Beltane is a high holy day in most all pagan traditions, and one of the Major Sabbats for we Wiccans. The holiday itself is the festival of fire, a celebration of the fertile season--and the start of what some call the "breeding season." It's all about new life, new starts, and creative energy of all types. It's also one of the most overtly sexually charged and sensual dates on the pagan calendar, with both romantic and sensual/sexual overtones.

Also, coven celebrations of Beltane typically take place outdoors, around a bonfire, and sometimes include ritual sex between a High Priest and Priestess, who embody the God and Goddess for the purposes of the sabbat celebration.

I've had some bloody horny May 1st morning's over the years, it's celebrated in style in Oxford City every year.
Plenty of wild parties, booze, rampant student wenches and all, I'm not sure if the celebration is a throw back to Pagan times or just a University excuse for a good horny piss up, probably a bit of both.
