Taurus Spring

The beauty that is Hathor's own,

Winter thundered in like a lion,
Thousands of turnings before the begin,
All of a sudden it whimpers like a lamb
And the westwind puts the icecutter out of business.

Draglines on skidders
Cables of rust an inch by a mile,
Ropes go for a ride coiled in trunks
Saddled up and spurred on.

Telephones and gasoline
Headgaskets holding cylinders pressured up,
Thousands of breathings that have gone before
Autonomous as an always reactor.

Seasonal swing powerstation swivel
Twostep slingshot in harmony glide,
Nitro miner on a fresh guitar
Refrigerate the memory and burn the star.

Be there soon
On the old train to Williamsburg,
Destination all downhill
From here to there rides the borderpatrol,
Ashes in the margins and
Sands in the borrowpit.

It definitely was.

But last night we were watching Platoon, which was on tv. Well, he was watching it; I was half watching it and half reading a John Irving novel. If he ever gets out of bed (where he is now watching the news and swilling coffee), I'm sure he'll thank you all himself.
