Max story post character limit?

I noticed while reading through the new writer submission help on the main site that the minimum limit for a submission is about 750 words. What is the hard limit you can have when you are submitting a story? Is there are soft limit? For example, do readers, not like a really long story. Personally, I love those long stories because its more fleshed out. You get to spend time with the characters. You start to fall in love with them. Well, at least I do. Anyways, I would love to hear what you guys have to say.

The only limit is that of the database, which currently in most databases used by people, is about 4 gigabytes. That's 4,000,000,000 characters. Although some databases do allow double that and others have ways of utilizing multiple columns to store the data.

So, in simple terms, no there isn't a maximum size, realistically.
