If you were looking at the Mature Category what would be the minimum age difference between the lovers? Say the heroine is 18 or 19. The love interest would be at least ___?

Is 35 too young? 38? 40?

Personally I'd have to say 40 as a bare minimum without any regard to the age of the younger partner.

My mature characters are always over 50.

Oddly, I almost never write about mature males except as incidental characters.

No. When I was 18 or 19, I fell in love with Catharine Denueve and she was 40 or so in the Hunger. These days guys 10 to 20 years younger fall for me. The perfect MILF age is 40.

Lol yes in my first "mature" category story, the older protag was younger than I am now, and the younger one was based on me

Once they get above 10 you want to watch them for signs of renal failure. That's what happened to my oldest one. It can be managed for a while, but eventually it carries them off.
