I notice the two threads looking to establish coed masturbation groups met the same disappointing fates. Participation in such a group (probably on a non-contact, observing only basis) has long been a fantasy of mine, but I've pretty much resigned myself to the idea that it is just not realistic to expect it to happen. Has anyone ever had any experience with such a group that actually worked out?
I know that there are a lot of creative writers out there. I'm really just interested in non-fiction answers.

Ok. I see that this is getting a lot of hits, which I guess means that a lot of people are interested in the topic. But no one is writing anything. How come? No experiences? Or does this confirm, that this is only a fantasy that never comes true.
I will take a shot at this, then
Are there people interested in organizing such a get together in the Western Mass. area? I will do the arranging, if convinced that people, of both the male and female persuasion, would actually show up.
And allow a 51 y.o. male to participate. I don't want to be there if I can't play, too.

I hope it will please you to know that just this message from you, saying that you are touching yourself at the idea of such a party, is arousing to me. I grow erect and touch myself.
But are you really serious? If the opportunity presented itself, do you really think you would carry through, or is it a fantasy?
For me, as a male, the fear is that, with an audience, I might not get hard.
As others have said, I have seen programs on such a club on HBO, but it was couples only. My partner would never consent to participate in such an activity.

I have read about a group that meets annually in S.F. to raise money for charity. They call it the "masturbatathon." They have both single sex and mixed groups. I seem to recall that it takes place in the Spring. You may want to look into it. Too far from Massachusetts for me.

I followed the link and checked it out. It does appear that single men can attend, even though it is described as a "swingers" group. They also say that they maintain an appropriate "balance" between the genders, but don't say what it is or how they achieved it.
I think I remember seeing this on HBO, although, if it is the party I am thinking of, it appeared to be couples, so I'm not sure. I had been thinking of a party where each participant pleasures him/herself, and this was a group where mutual touching was encouraged. Which, I guess, I'm not opposed to on principle.
Anyway, I'd love to hear more from you if you ever do decide to make the trip.

Well, Mike I will keep you in mind if I can ever get people together for a Jack and Jill....

I think the secret will be to one keep the guy to gal ratio close as possible. Two to make the first one small and let it grow over a period of time...

A group situation might be a bit more intimidating, but I would think that if done correctly.....honestly, truthfully and open, I would think that it would be a great outlet in a number of ways. If the possible participants took the time through email to become more aquainted, the trust level could be reached to allow it to happen.

Well, as you can see, this is getting a fair amount of response from males, but very little interest from women. That will make it difficult to achieve that reasonable m-f ration that would be the key to success.

There are lots of online masturbation groups (Yahoo, for instance) -- usually devoted to paying masturbatory tribute to individual female celebrities (Britney Spears, Paris Hilton, Elizabeth Hurley, etc..). Most of the members of these groups are male, but there are female members also. Why any straight guy would be interested in chatting with another guy while they are both stroking off seems a bit pathetic to me -- to me, it would be exciting if a female agreed to simultaneous online masturbation, but what are the chances of that?

Checking in on my thread, I see that most of the interest continues to be from male posters. I have gotten a couple of PM"s from one woman who read it, including last night, and I hope to hear from her again, but it does appear to be a llongshot to get women interested.
