I wonder which group is behind this attack? Local radio reported the shooting started at a McDonalds in or by the mall. Mass casualties, bodies everywhere 15+ dead. Witnesses say there are 3 shooters.

Munich police are saying there is no indication of Islamic terrorism and the reports of the attackers shouting "God is great" in Arabic is bullshit.

Then the witness is lying. I heard her in her own voice. She also said she is Muslim herself. She was speaking in English, with a non-German accent.

This is why I am not a gun control advocate. All gun control does is take guns away from the law-abiding citizens who may be able to step in and stop something like this. It's happened time and again in home invasions and other situations where a perpetrator will back down if confronted by someone pointing a gun at them. Criminals will always find a way to have guns.

Teachers/professors who are licensed should be allowed to carry on campuses to prevent this type of thing. Employees who are licensed to carry should be allowed and stuff like this will decrease in it's frequency. JMHO. Rant over.

The question that arises with this statistic would be, how many of those deaths occurred at the hand of someone illegally owning a gun. Criminals don't register their weapons and law-abiding citizens who want to protect themselves and their loved ones don't go around randomly shooting people.

I would venture a guess that this statistic is NOT the result of legal gun ownership.

Probably not. But the idea is that with less guns accessible in general, there will also be way less illegal guns in circulation. Seems to hold up pretty well.
