Yes...but also no. If you have a compromised immune system like my father in law due to chemo...i would suggest gloves anytime you head into a store. It isn't just about being a barrier...it provides a mental reminder to think about everything before doing it.

For the rest of us, hand sanitizer is sufficient.

Masks are essential these days,you would be stupid to leave home without them but gloves i dont think are necessary, most shops have sanitiser areas by trollies dont shake hands ,when you get home wash your hands straight away
