Strategic Hazard Intervention Espionage Logistics Directorate Helicarrier somewhere over the atlantic

Red warning lights flashed all over various consoles and klaxons blared unceasingly.

"More contacts, coming in at six two four!"one of the men stationed at the consoles called out.

"Keep up the firepower, deploy fighter craft, and i want constant damage reports. Someone get me identification on who these are!" Nick Fury, the infamous head of S.H.I.E.L.D., called out.

"Doombots and unknown enemies sir! And theres a lot of 'em!"

"Doom eh? That metal face son of a bitch! Call in backup!"

"Metahumans sir?"

"Yea get 'em up here!"

commands were pressed in, and calls sent out.

in a few minutes, his backup was available.

Logan had been tracking a mad bear through the canadian woods for the last two days. He smelled it on the wind, could sense its madness and fury. It wasnt much longer till he came upon the cave.

He shifted in the wind, letting the bear catch his scent. He heard a roar from inside the cave and saw the creature come bounding out looking for its next victim.

Logan got a good look at creature. He was a big one, about 1400 pounds and 8 feet tall if he was an inch. He had huge paws, sharp claws, enough muscle to push a car over, and a real short temper. A grizzly bear could bat a human around like a rag doll.

The bear didnt have a chance.

Logan leapt out of cover and jumped onto the bear jabbing both sets of claws into the creatures neck, slamming them down as far as he could. He flipped off the beast and landed easily. The creature staggered forward, and fell.

"Rest well." Logan said, retracting his claws. His locator chimed and flashed red.

"Fury..." he said, tapping it twice to teleport to the Helicarrier.

He was surrounded by the sounds of battle, and orders being barked to various men on consoles.

"Whats this about Fury?"

Stark smiled as he watched Pepper Potts leave his office.

One day I will ask her to marry me, He thought to himself, before banishing the thought, as a call from Jarvis, his other assistant and Butler, came through.

'Yes Jarvis?'

'Sir, a priority signal just came through from Director Fury, it would seem they require your help.'

'Ahh, ok then, Jarvis return a message saying i'm on my way.'

He hung up, and pressed his intercom.

'Pepper, can you cancel my 4 and 5 o'clocks, oh and send my apologies to proffessor Xavier for missing his fundraiser.'

'Of course sir.'

Tony smiled, and walked to his office bar, and pressed a button.

the platform he was stood on began to descend, and soon he was in the Iron halls, the place where all his suits were kept.

Below him, he could see that Jarvis was waiting.

'What happens to be the problem that they require help with?' He asked.

'It would appear that the Hellcarrier is under attack, sir.'

'In that case, lets use the DXIII Model.'

****************

Minutes later, Iron Man was flying up to the hellcarrier and he saw what was happeneing.

Doombots.

He opened up the comms.

'Fury, this is Iron Man, I'm about to deal with your pest problem.'

There was nothing I loved more than swinging in between the buildings of this city. There was a peace to what I did and with as much pain as it had brought me in my life I would not have given it up for the world. I loved being Spider-Man, even if a lot of this city hated me, the place that I had given up so much for. There was one thing that I wished I could give up being Spider-Man for and that was to be with the one woman I loved, Mary Jane Watson. Some part of me cried out to be with her more than anything but every time I wanted to be with her something always seemed to go wrong, and something was always something to do with Spider-Man.

I moved to the side of a building and as I stood against it looked down at all the people there. I knew that there were all going about with their happy little lives and I wished at that moment that I was one of them, I wished that I had a life so hum drum and boring that something different would happen. I knew that there was no way that would happen though. I had been given this life and I had to live it.

It was then that I heard a beep coming down from my belt and looked down to see the communicator that was stuck there flashing. My first thought was to throw the thing away but I knew that I had to answer it. I pulled it from my belt, opened it up and said, "This is Spidey, what is it you want?"

"The Hellicarrier is under attack. We need your help!"

I let out a sigh, "How the hell am I meant to get up there, the last time I looked I couldn't fly."
