OOC: At 25 and single, Ashley Taylor is 5’4”and weighs 105lbs, with a toned body due to her running and exercise program. She has blue eyes and blonde hair that hangs well past her waist and is thick with waves. Her breasts are not large, but not tiny either, allowing her to go braless most of the time. She has shapely firm legs, also due to her running. She lives alone in a penthouse suite, and has never been married and has no desire to do so. She grew up spoiled, her family had the means to give her everything she wanted, and due to an accident has now been left alone with a large fortune. She doesn’t work, having invested the money wisely, and the only thing she does take serious is staying in shape and having a good time.

IC:
Saturday morning I awake early so that I can get to the park early and miss the crowds. I like to take my daily morning run around the park, especially with the early morning fog just burning off, the feel of the mist on my body as it does, and the smell of freshness in the air.

Getting to the park, I notice it is quiet, and other than a couple taking a walk and several other people who pass me riding their bikes, I am mostly alone. As I begin my run, soaking up the tranquility of the morning, my mind gets lost, thinking of several upcoming events I have planned. Suddenly, I find myself on top of a man who I have just run into and knocked him and his bike over.

Oh I am soooooo sorry!

I say with light laughter in my voice. I can’t believe I have just done this, and am embarrassed hoping I haven’t hurt him. I get up and with my back to the man I bend over brushing myself off. I have on white shorts, black t-shirt, white socks and running shoes. I finally stand up and turn to face him and smile, my eyes twinkle with a silent laugh.

Are you okay?

I ask and I take a better look at him as he picks himself and his bike up. I boldly look him up and down, finding him very appealing.

Intro.
I am married 7 years, no children, 5'11', dark complexion and hair, fit from bike riding and other sport.

I pick myself up off the track and help my assailant to her feet. She is so pretty as well pretty careless not looking where she is going. I pick up my bicycle and see that it is also undamaged.

I am about to berate her for her carelessness, but I am persuaded by her smile and contrite apology. I lean on the bike and remove the frown and replace it with a smile.

"That's the first time I have ever been knocked off my bike by a pedestrian," I say with a returned smile. "No damage done."

I straighten my bike shorts and T-shirt and prepare to mount the bike again.

I watched as he picked himself and his bike up and noticed how carefully he checked to see if there was any damage to the bike. I couldn’t help but grin, having a good idea that he at first wanted to reprimand me for running into him. I also couldn’t help notice how very attractive he was.

It's the first time I have ever run into someone on a bike. I'm glad you're okay.

I laughed softly and walked up to him extending my hand out to him.

It sure is a different way to meet someone. I'm Ashley Taylor and you are?

"It sure is," I replied, smiling for the first time. "My name is John Clunes. I'm pleased to meet you, I think."

"Are you hurt in any way?"

She shook her head and murmured, "No. I'm OK thnks."

"Alright then," I answered, " See you around, maybe."

I mounted my bike and began to ride off.

I wave, softly laughing to myself.

Goodbye John Clunes, it was nice running into you and I do hope to see you again sometime.

John Clunes, the name runs through my head over and over. I'm not sure what it is about him, whether it is because he is so good looking or the fact that he seemed more than anxious to get away from me.

I finish my run, still with thoughts of John on my mind and decided that in the morning when I do my run, I will have to look for him. Maybe he will be there again.

I rode on home, my mind reviewing the accident.

"I never expected to be bowled over by a damn pedestrian. A car, maybe, or even a motor bike. But just runner? Who'd believe it."

I arrived home and put the bike away and with it the thoughts of the accident.

The next morning I put on my white shorts, a white t-shirt and my running shoes and I made sure I would arrive a little early at the park, in hopes I would run into John again. At that thought, I laughed to myself, hoping I didn’t literally run into him again.

On the way over to the park I stopped and bought a cup of cappuccino, but on my way out, another thought crossed my mind and I went back and ordered another one. Always be prepared was my theory, and now satisfied I went to the park.

I sat down on one of the benches, and since it was early Sunday, the park was pretty much empty. I set one of the large cappuccino’s down and then took a few sips of mine as I kept looking around to see if I could spot John.

It wasn’t long before I recognized him on his bike and I smiled. I was actually relieved having not known if he would be there or not.

" Hi John. Remember me, Ashley? The one that ran you over? " I laughed. He stopped not far from where I was sitting and I couldn’t really tell if he had remembered me or not, or if he was just surprised.

" Why don't you take a break and sit down? I have an extra cappuccino here if you would like it. "

I waited for him to say something, and I got the feeling he was rather hesitant. It tickled me inside to think that I might actually be making him nervous.

" Come on John. I don't bite. Sit down and take the drink. You don't want me to have to throw it out now do you? "

"No, it would be stupid to throw it out."

I sat down and she handed me the coffee.

It was not too hard to look at her and wonder why she had set this second meting up.

"Are you a regular runner here?" I asked

" I run every morning John. Although yesterday was the first time I ran into someone. "

I can’t help but laugh and then smile. I take a sip of my cappuccino and then my eyes brighten and I look him directly in the eyes.

" Do you ride everyday? Or just on weekends? I haven't noticed you before, and I am sure I would have noticed you. You are very attractive John. "

"I have just moved here," I said. "I found this park and bike track and I love to ride."

"As for the attractive bit, well, I should tell you I am happily married, so I'm not really in the market"

"I think my wife finds me attractive, too."

I don't want to give her a come on, but the truth is, my wife is an invalid. Even though it's a strain caring for her, I do my best. The daily bike ride is the way I clear my mind and keep my fitness.

All this information is not for public knowledge.

But, I certainly do find her company pleasant and I hope we meet often.

" Well then it is very lucky for me that you found this park! "

I smile, continuing to flirt with him, and disregard his comment about being married letting him know it has not altered my interest. As we continue to talk, I let him know that I am single and although I don’t work, I do take my running very seriously. I also let him know that I don’t live far from the park and point to the building where my penthouse suite is.

" What do you do for a living John? Do you live near by? "

"I have moved into an apartment about 3 blocks away. I am an engineer and work for an oil company."

I have replied automatically, flattered but afraid of this attractive girl's interest in me.

"I plan to ride at least every second day and daily if I can."

I smiled at him and sense my flirtations are making him nervous, which for me always brings out the part of my personality that loves challenges. We talk a little more and he tells me the name of the company he works for. I think I surprise him when he learns that I know the company and several of its investors.

After finishing our cappuccino, I take his empty cup from him, intentionally letting my hand softly touch his and linger for a brief second. Then standing up, I walk over and throw both of our cups in the trashcan.

" Well John, I really have enjoyed talking with you. I guess we will be seeing a lot of each other then, or at least every other morning, if not every morning. I will be looking forward to that. " I grin and can’t help but wink at him.

" Do you prefer something other than cappuccino, such as coffee or tea? For tomorrow morning, that is if you are around. "

Now I know I'm in trouble. I still feel the touch of her hand and it troubles me. It's been a while since Jill had shown any interest in me. I fact, it has been a long time she has shown interest in anything except her illness.

"You know," I say to myself, "I wouldn't mind if something happened here. But no, it wouldn't be right."

I thought is was a strange coincidence that she knew people in my company. I thought it was strange that she seemed to be setting me up. "Why?" I thought.

I replied to her, "I will look forward to another meeting. I drink anything, thank you."

" See you soon. " I smiled then turned my back to him and began starting my running program.

I had already decided that I wanted to get to know John better, but not wanting to scare him off completely, I made sure I didn’t start my morning run until I knew he would be at work. I also asked a friend of mine about him finding more out about him and also exactly where he lived.

Wednesday morning, I dressed particularly special for my days outing, putting on a short black skirt with a black jacket to match and a red blouse underneath, leaving the first top buttons undone. I didn’t bother with wearing a bra and I also had heels on, but didn’t bother with any hose.

I went to the company that John worked for to see my friend, Hank, and to give him several invitations for a party I was having. After talking with Hank and thanking him for handing my invitations out I asked him where Johns office was and Hank directed me to it. Hank only smiled, knowing me to well to ask questions.

John’s door was open and he was sitting at a his desk looking over some drawings when I walked in.

" Hi John. Nice office. " I said casually, noting the surprise on his face. I went behind his desk, leaned against it, and crossed my arms in front of me.

" Sorry I missed you the last few mornings. How about if I buy you lunch? No harm in just a lunch is there? "

I am really surprised by Ashley's appearance at my office. This is getting to me a bit. I know I am NOT available and she knows it but it seems strange these coincidences still happen.

I have no idea what she sees in me. But, what the hell! Lunch can't hurt, can it.

"Tha would be nice," I said. "I am through here about 12.30. Will you still be here or should we meet somewhere?"

" That will be perfect. I will meet you out front at 12:30. " I smile as I leave.

I notice the time and I see that I have about an hour to go buy a few things for my lunch date with John. I can’t help but laugh to myself, wondering what he will think of my plans for lunch.

Promptly at 12:30 I pull up in front of the building in my white BMW and spot John just walking out the door. I call to him and although he is surprised, he gets in the car.

" It's such a beautiful day John. I thought we would have lunch outside. I have everything and I know of a beautiful place not far from here. " I say as I am driving.

Now this is a real surprise. I had expected that lunch would be at a local greasy spoon but not somewhere that needs a white BMW to get there.

I climb into the car and say, "I have to be back for an appointment at two."

I saw her nod and then she pulled out from the kerb and sped away.

I drove to a small secluded place not too far out of the city and up some into the mountains. I turned down a private road leading to the spot we were going, and reassured John that I did know where I was going.

Shortly I parked the car not far from a small clearing near a creek with a mountain spring. It was very quiet other than you could hear the water from the spring flowing into the creek. I handed John the box of things I had picked up and I took the blanket leading him to the clearing. I spread the blanket down and after taking my jacket off and kicking my heels off, I sat down with my legs crossed in front of me.

" Come, sit down John. Isn't this better than fighting all those lunch crowds? And it even comes with champagne. "

I laughed softly, taking the bottle of chilled champagne from the box as he set it down.

I sit facing Ashley and sip on my champagne while looking all around the scene....anywhere but directly at her.

It seems obvious to me that she fancies me and God knows, I certainly like the look of her. She has this persitant personality that I would normally find obnoxious, but with her, it seemed to be part of the charm.

I remember my responsibiliyies. At home with Jill; at work at 2pm.

I put the champagne down only part consumed and turned to her.

"Ashley," I said, "Tell me what is on your mind. No-one goes to this much trouble without a motive."

I smile hearing his question and wondering myself, what exactly is it that attracts me to him so much. I hesitate only for a brief moment before setting my glass down and moving to kneel beside him. I see that he is trying hard to avert looking at me and I put my hands to his face and turn him to look at me.

" You are on my mind John. And if I'm not mistaken, I sense you need me as much as I want you. "

Without waiting for his response, my lips press against his, kissing him softly wanting him to respond.

I was startled by the kiss.

"God dammit, Ashley! I've told you I'm married and I'm not the type of man who plays around."

"I think we had better get me back to the office."

I pulled away, but the lingering touch of her hand and lips were still with me. I felt stirrings in my groin that I had resisted all the time that Jill has been ill.

" Did anyone ever tell you how cute you look when you get mad? " I laughed softly, ignoring his outburst and the words he had spoken and I started getting the sandwiches, salad and fruit out.

" We haven't even eaten yet, John. I'll take you back to work after that, promise. "

We ate our lunch even though he was a little reluctant to stay, but as I was the one driving, he really didn’t have much of a choice. Through lunch, I told him about my upcoming dinner party on Saturday night, and that there were people invited from his office.

" It's a casual party, nothing formal, but I would really like you to come. Naturally you can bring your wife. "

"No way!" I replied to the invitation.

"There is no way I could accept after what has happened here today."

I was so flustered that I completely lost my appetite and left the food untouched.

"I think we should leave right now," I said. "Before this goes any further."

" Suit yourself John. " I said, still smiling at him, finding his fruitless attempts to discourage me actually making me want him even more. I quickly put all the food, the champagne, the glasses in the box and threw the entire box in a near by trashcan. I noticed his surprise when I did this and threw my hands up in the air.

" What's a little wasted money? I'll take you back to your office and I'm sorry I have upset you and you didn't get to eat lunch. "

After picking up the blanket, I drove him back to work, once again talking about things in general as if nothing had happened. Right before we got to his office, I pulled up at a drive through and ordered a sandwich and fries. After I pulled up in front of his office and he got out of the car, shutting the door, I rolled the window down and handed him the bag of food.

" I promised to buy you lunch and I keep my promises. See you soon, John. " I said sweetly, my eyes bright and the grin on my face obvious to him. Before he could say anything, I quickly drove off.

When I got home I gave Hank a quick call and told him that when he passed out the invitations to my party, would he be sure to let everyone know how much I would appreciate all of them coming to the party. Hank laughed and said he would but saw no reason why anyone would turn down a party at one of the board members house’s. I thanked him and told him I was looking forward to seeing him and his wife Saturday.

I hung up the phone and smiled. I could almost see John’s face when Hank handed him the invitation. I knew he wouldn’t be happy, but I also had a very good feeling he was more interested than he let on.
