MARIA ROCKS
from another thread...
to plug or not to plug....
v. tr. Informal.
To publicize (a product, for example) favorably, as by mentioning on a broadcast: authors who plug their latest books on TV talk shows.
v. intr. Informal.
To work doggedly and persistently
A few here have consisitently impressed me with their comments. They are not technical corrections, they are needed also, to an extent much more than I see. Maria2394 is one that always manages to get the heart of the poem, seeing what is often missed by others. Doing so, she is improving her work. This is the kind of plugging that pays off for writing. Convincing an audience that your current work is worth reading does not.
You want to write, comment, you want to write interesting, leave interesting comments.
This woman writes like her life depends on it, does not write to impress. I love her for that.
P.S. I left out one other definition for plug, we can discuss
