Auggghhhh...that's going to kill my brackets...

And so far I've picked the entire East region correctly. ::le sigh::

:D

Yeah I remember that thread. My South region picks got redeemed because even though I picked very few of the 2nd round teams correctly, I picked all the Sweet Sixteen teams correctly somehow.

One of my Elite 8 teams is out, but none of my Final Four teams are out yet (thank god).

Nice picks, overall!

Those aren't predictions! Those are odds! How many basketball games have you ever seen decided by .5 points.

So. A bookie, eh?

Go Mountaineers!

You will note that ALL of the games have half point odds. With half point odds, there can be no ties, more efficient.

In college sports, it is only the players who work for nothing.

Eye zigga zoom-ba, zoom-ba, zoom-ba

Roll on down (roll on down) and fight for
Ca-ro-li-na
Eye zigga zoom-ba, zoom-ba, zoom-ba
Eye zigga zoom-ba, zoom-ba zay

To win the championship a team usually has to overcome playing one poor game. I have a bad feeling this may be the Heels' coming up. Still, I'll give Washington State and 8.5.

Give 'em hell Heels.

The problem for the tar heels will be to run their high octane offense before the Cougars can really get set up in their half court defense. The tar heels have not been a good outside shooting team and need to score transition baskets.

The problem for Washington State is to slow the tempo down, shoot high percentage shots and make the tar heels take the ball out of the net to run their fast break.

If the game is a high scoring game. chances are the tar heels will shine. If the game is a low scoring affair, the grind it out cougars will most likely be having their way.

If you can get the cougars and 10 points in Chapel Hill and you can get a Las Vegas bet down at maybe the tar heels minus 8 points, you just might middle the bookies!

The Heels shoot threes about as well as anybody, 38 pct, they just don't shoot all that many, maybe 15 a game, because they usually don't have to, but there are times they'll run a four guard offense, bomb the threes and drive when the on-ball defense tightens.

The times they have been challenged this year have usually been when the other team got really hot from outside.

I don't see Washington State doing that.

But...I have been wrong once or twice.

Not if Vegas has any say about it. ;)

.

They don't until they come up with 12,000,000 square feet of showroom space. Right now it's less than 2 million, and attendance has fallen for the last three tries. :D
