Manhole,Female/Male threaded fittings and other 'politically correct' bullshitisms.

Someone said, WOMEN ARE ANTITHETICAL, and its true.

No lie, 50 years ago I devoutly believed females, niggers, and queers were Gods Special Angels. Now I know the whole crew and assclowns and shithouse rats who are crazy, frustrated, and angry.

I have no real idea what you mean, but i want to thank you for your contribution to whats
Clearly a scintillating thread..
:D

;)
Good one... I will start a list of things 'Yet' to be Bullshitismed.

The YET List:
1:Manhandling. (Spanish version: Manualhandling). ;):D

Jackhammer (Jills don't hammer)

jackshit

bullshit - cows shit too.

Herstory instead of history. I sniggered and ignored correction. I am entitled to use history, it's etymology not being sexist and were it I don't give a damn. I also find it tiresome to use he/she /it. I find it clumsy. I am comfortable being included in a male gendered word of group in English as I am in Latin languages.

Congratulations! To our first female poster! Good on you;) thanks for your input so far.
The link i posted in the OP seems to be causing many Of the female journalists discussing it to
Actually ask of their audience "how much is too much?" when compensating for gender inequality.
Your thoughts are appreciated.

Words aren't the problem. Changing or adapting words is just painting over the cracks.

Real discrimination still exists and political correctness is just a diversion.

Herstory/History is an exception perhaps. The contribution of women to the world's history has been underrecorded and underestimated because men wrote the records. There needs to be a correction but the result will still be history.

Kissing female ass is pure futility. Fuck them and pay them a fair fee is the best any man can do.

Nice;)
Yet here 'Blackboard' is now to be termed 'ChalkBoard' !
I guess Blacksmithing is potentially(much to my personal dismay, as i love metalworking)
Not worth arguing about by the PC Brigade as it is popularly seen as a forgotten art.??
I wish i had now used the word "cattleshitisms" instead of "bullshitisms".. Sexist bastard iam.:)

I would prefer to be recorded as a generation who were heard, not ignorantly , stripping childish. They woman who makes this correction( consistently) is infact a generation above me. And a great contributor to her field, but this sort of pettiness is not a great reflection, I feel, on our gender. However, it's also of note we diverge on many paths. I enjoy my feminity, and have never found it a handicap. I care for fairness and choices for both genders, and do not think these necessarily think equal needs to be 'same'

Stands and applauds...

"Sleeping Policeman"= speedbump.(YET)
"Lazy suzan"= who was this Suzan!?
"Tradesmens entrance"

For some women and men it does mean same, they should ABSOLUTELY have this choice, I just don't want mine, the choice of others like me stripped on the process.

Exactly,
Yours and many others opinions are one of the things my thread was hoping to
Highlight:
There seems to be the swell of 'us and them' culture amongst both sides of the PC movement and they(like the major political parties) overlook a large populance that can and do acknowledge both ideologies yet wish to be realistic and enjoy the beautiful differences of individuals of all or what they are: Male and Female,Black/white/penguin.
If i open a door for a lady,(no, not so i can look at her arse as she walks yhrough it). am i being judged as being sexist by the Majority? Because that is the way i see alot of our culture going sadly

Us and them is symptomatic with mass movements...

(Eric Hoffer)

This whole PC thing is a mass societal bowel movement.

Not always. Nothing wrong with tradesperson being used instead of tradesman. A female working in the trades is hardly a tradesman! Better tradesperson than going back and forth between the two words. Save on having to reset type when printing. Woman can work in the trades. Shit! Being a hairdresser comes under the Ministry of Trades and Apprenticeships. They hold journeyperson certificates. Baker is a trade. Not all about slinging shingle bundles and carrying drywall sheets. Top industries have ergonomic and safety procedures in place that brute upper body strength isn't required. Was Rosie the Riveter a tradesman? Total war has shown that women perform most excellently on the home front and in the field!

I worked for a huge chemical company and wrote s.o.p. for maintenance and safety. Sometimes such descriptions like manhole cover aren't descriptive enough for certain tasks.

Better than 50% of the world's population is women. Remember that!

PC can just as easily mean polite and considerate. Just being polite and considerate when talking to a female in the trades should have you using tradesperson.

Fuck that shit. This used to be a free country.

Oh Noooooo! The insidious forces of politeness and consideration are eroding your fundamental right to be an asshole and an idiot.

No the insidious forces of government intruding into the private labor market's right to speak freely.

Electrical sockets are called jacks, which are female connectors, go figure.

Manhole= inspection chamber.
Female threaded fitting= internally threaded fitting.
Male threaded fitting= externally threaded fitting.
Actress= Thesbian(?) :D

What other examples have you noticed in everyday living??

I've never noticed any of those in my everyday living.
