Man gets more fit to impress his wife

A young couple experienced bedroom problems; he's always in the mood for sex, but she seldom is. The husband decided to work out more at the gym, and his wife gradually find herself unable to resist his tones glutes and abs. To make it more interesting, it can be written from the point of view of husband and wife.

I personally dislike switching POV on Lit- I find it breaks the spell.

I wonder if this would work better with a middle aged couple?

It would benefit from some dramatic tension. An easy trite one could be the wife becoming jealous of the attention fit hubby gets from the babes at the gym...

Since the getting-fit-for-wife may be borderline trope, you're on to something here. He goes and works out and while she doesn't notice a difference since they're not very physical or romantic, he does. And he gets more confident about himself and he talks to people at the gym. She swings by one evening when he's walking out because they're doing something routine or mundane and he needed a ride, and she sees him leaving with a woman.

Who's younger.

And moderately attractive.

And they're laughing!

And she now sees her husband in a possessive way so she feels the need to defend her property. And she gets in between the two, a bit jealous.

And then they're at the grocery store and the clerk, just a woman, nothing special, smiles because her husband is more confident and engaging, and she feels a spark of jealousy paired with some heat.

And so on and so forth.

Hi it might make the story more interesting if his whole joining the gym was his wife's idea just maybe nagged him into going.

Why so unutterably tame?

Why not be working out to impress the woman next door? Why not a twist in the tail when he discovers, after bedding her, that his wife has been prettying herself up to seduce the woman-next-door's hubby... or sister... successfully?

Not your idea exactly, but I find hot the idea of a guy who seems kind of shy and reserved, but gets into a situation where he has to get his shirt off and he's pretty ripped underneath....which turns on the girl he has a crush on.

I thought that given all the stories on Literotica involving adultery and incest, it may be interesting to write a story about a married couple spicing up their lives. I don't see why erotica has to involve illicit relationships.

That could be interesting, but I had imagined that the husband was unsatisfied with the lack of sex as opposed to his wife.

If I were to go with your route, I'd write it so the wife was already physically fit and attractive. Otherwise it wouldn't make much sense for her to nag her husband to do so.
