Jephram Malsuphur is a man cursed with the spirit of a phoenix. He has lived many lifetimes, and is incapable of dying permanently -- upon physical death, his body will burst into flames, and he will emerge from the ashes as a newborn infant. His body then rapidly ages to the point when he first absorbed the phoenix spirit, after which aging returns to normal. He never gets very old, however, as he will usually just kill himself when he starts to become gray each time.
Jephram's curse is of his own doing, as he once counted himself among the ranks of a wicked cult in the Dark Ages. He delved into the art of necromancy and soon became the most powerful and charismatic member of the cult, eventually being elected their leader. He lead them into a phoenix's lair with the intention of trapping its soul to make the cult immortal. The dark ritual worked, but only Jephram gained immortality -- every member of the cult burned alive in the resulting explosion the phoenix released before it died, and only Jephram raised from the ashes. The influence of the phoenix's spirit plagued his mind with guilt and internal torment, and he came to see it as a curse.
It is now modern day, and he lives on with no end in sight. He has lived all over the world and traveled under many different names, occasionally using his real name every few centuries. This is one of those times. He has recently purchased a large mansion in Napa Valley, California, and was instantly smitten with the young and beautiful real estate agent. He flirted with her and there seemed to a mutual attraction at first, but then she lost interest.
This lovely woman plagued his every thought, and ultimately he devised a plan to kidnap her. He found an excuse to get her over to his house again, drugged her, and trapped her in a basement prison cell he had built. Obviously, she is terrified at first, but soon discovers there is something insanely erotic about the entire situation. Normally a dominant personality in business and life, she finds comfort in being submissive for once, dominated in every way by her captor. And when she learns the truth about his curse, she is even more enthralled by him.
I need a female to play Jephram's lovely slave. If you like, we can also throw in a master/apprentice spin by saying she has dormant traces of magic in her blood and he helps unlock that.
