See, i get a good story going, get into the characters' minds, get them where they're going, write the first little bit of the sex scene, then hit a brick wall. Bam.

Right now there are five separate stories open on my computer that this has happened with.

How am i supposed to get past this?

It's invaluable, man; I got so sick of losing thoughts on roadtrips (or stopping to write something on a napkin). Now I keep mine in the car. It's too odd for me to use it for extended scenes, but that's just me (and my speech is much lazier than my writing). Regardless it will help you during the times you need to blurt out a thought before it flies away.

Went and checked mine; damn it's cold out there. I am sure this model is obsolete or some such crap, but it was inexpensive, with exactly the features I needed. And it's taken plenty of abuse. It's a Sony Clear Voice (no model number visible on it).

If you're getting stuck at the sex scene every time- you're probably self-conscious. Afraid your mom will read it. Worried somebody will think "Ack, that's not how that goes, the girl must be a virgin". Concerned that this is what posterity will remember you for. Afraid to embarass your characters. Nervous about letting the world know what makes you hot- or making people think that, OMG, that makes you hot.
My recommendation: just write the most hardcore, cheezey/sleazey, cliche-ridden sex scene you can, and ask your parents to give you notes. After that, nothing should faze you.

ok this is going to sound weird...
but I shelve those, the ones I specifically get stuck at THAT point, the sex...
and come back to it either when I'm 1. ovulating or 2. menstruating...
things seem to really open up for me during these two points in time...

Ever thought of doing a real "walk-through?" I may help you out with the direction of sex scenes. A thought...

nutty thought: maybe somewhere inside of you you're trying to get a non-sexual story out without really knowing it? get that out first and the rest will be spicier than ever...

Do you know you characters well enough to know how they make love? People almost always reveal secrets about themselves when they make love, and that's what usually drives me. Don't concentrate on the sex. Concentrate on what they feel during the sex.
