So sorry hun. I lost my home to that bastard myself! Looking for new place to live. Geez I hate moving.

How badly did ya lose it?

I know alot of peeps who have really been worked over by this one.

Took most of the roof and shifted the rest, took out stabelizers under part of causing some of the shifting roof to colapse, broke alot of the water lines and pipes, and twisted and mangled some of the wiring. Water damage to tons of stuff and now mold and mildew is taking over the good parts. Trees are down and driveway is basicly gone as well. It really did a number on the whole place.

im lucky enough to have no damage to where I live and my family in town had minimal damage.

Sorry to here how bad you got hit. i just moved to n. fort myers after charly hit and only had some aluminum facia damage. Tons of rain tho. But I am sure glad to get out of connecticut. Wish you well.

Thank you both! And thank you Fun. for the offer of help. Not much anyone can do right now but be a friend, all kinds of paperwork is causing lots of problems and emotions have hit an all time high around here. I am having to stay with my ex-husband cause I don't have anywhere else to stay and boy have I caught flack for that LOL It means alot to know that people like you are out there. *hugs*

And the excitement still isn’t over.
A friend of mine was helping his mother in law remove her hurricane shutters over the weekend, and one of those heavy metal hurricane shutters fell down and hit him on the head, and knocked him unconscious. Now he is ok, and recuperating in the hospital, but look how weeks after the hurricane, people are still getting hurt from hurricane related things.

sorry to everyone who's had a bad time this hurricane season.... we had some damage from Frances but nothing as bad as I read here..
